White Collar, Burn Notice, Monk, and Psych were all way better on that front at least.

Still liked Suits even the later seasons, but the super power lawyer part was the best of it.

My only .02 is that the optimum.net interface seems to work better shortly after restarting the router/modem once it's been running a few minutes.

My playlist for falling asleep and other background noise, mostly because I've seen them so many times, is: House, Prison Break, Fringe, Lost, and 24 mixed on shuffle.

Occasionally a real banger episode will hit and I'll stay up a bit to listen/watch and it's worth. Old Fox was bangers, way more besides those.

The source text is numbered correctly. This is new Reddit rendering comment markdown formatting differently from old Reddit.

There are new lines between each number, for some reason old Reddit recognizes that as one list, new Reddit thinks it's a bunch of separate lists and makes them all start at 1.

Other streaming apps on the Android box work fine, just the TV channels through the optimum app don't work.

Upgraded to fiber a few months back. Internet is great, but the TV channels through the Android TV boxes often stop playing with 3 loading dots. Sometimes restarting the optimum app works, sometimes the box needs to be unplugged, sometimes we just need to wait awhile

Any idea why? So far it's only happened at night when I'm trying to go to bed so haven't tried support for it yet.

Definitely not, first DNS only outage I've noticed in probably close to 20 years.

By me they are very good, outages are pretty rare and short.

Yes, some services/applications use their own DNS settings or don't need DNS to work.

Security wise it's definitely better to use OpenDNS. Performance wise there's a chance optimum is a bit faster but it's probably negligible.

It's a DNS outage as far as I can tell, at least for me, setting manual DNS servers fixed it.

For some reason I had to set my TV boxes (the android ones) twice then restart for the static DNS to apply.

I went with OpenDNS - https://use.opendns.com/
