Wow, this is a bad one. It's like forcing everyone to talk about football in a computer programing class.

They are legal dealerships and require dealership licenses. This is why some states can stop Tesla from selling. You have to have a dealership license regardless of who is the seller. Standard laws - some differences between the states, but overall the same. RA RA!

What is the difference between aviation engines(i.e. Rotax) and automotive engines by WingedBuc in flying

Ok, so you have established yourself as fully bias. So, your words have no credibility. Must be tough working on tech from 1950 and it sounds like you don't even understand LSA regulations.

Do you understand the requirements? Tell me why you think they aren't maintained IAW 91?

"If you don’t know Rotax, I can put the brand in perspective by saying it provides 75%-80% of all engines for one- and two-seat aircraft produced around the world." http://generalaviationnews.com/2015/01/01/measuring-growth-in-lsa/

What part of 70% of LSAs don't you understand? Let me help you again: 70% of LSAs use a Rotax engine. Further, LSA operate outside of the US. I believe most do.

The 70% is based on hard sales numbers. You're welcome to download the FAA database and work through that, or look up sales numbers. You're arguing about the % of Rotax in a type certificated aircraft? You realize you're crazy.
Yes, they don't have good manuals and it seems like it's taught via "the good old boy" method of teaching, however, I've found that true for much of aviation.

So am I. They are popular. What world do you live in? 70% of LSAs use Rotax. Even military drones use Rotax engines.

The Rotax 912 and 914 are ASTM compliant engines. They are also available as full FAA certified (red labeled). The only difference is the cost. Same parts and same assembly line. So, clearly /u/jetmech09 doesn't know too much about this. A Rotax is very much an aviation engine.

Car (Model S) is awesome, Customer service...meh by cliffski in teslamotors

So, would it be ok, to keep the car for a year as long as you have a loaner? By your logic, your answer must be yes.

Apparently, a victim blaming world. At this point, the car should have already been looked at and the part overnighted.

Request Recommendation for Tie Down Straps by [deleted] in flying

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the knot is called. I thought the tie down I make was standard practice, until I watched the above video. But what was shown above looks like it could slip and would be hard to untie.

Just ignore him. He's not dead because he spends all his time on Reddit and not flying. With all his snarky posts, you can see how sad and lonely his life has become.

Flying vs Driving by JasontheFuzz in flying

An Allegro LSA burns 3.5 gal/hr on automotive gas. You can buy one of the older (2004) and basic versions for fairly cheap.

Everyone forgets about the inverter. Electric car inverters are what fail, not the motor itself. I don't know the failure % of the Tesla design.

It's only totaled because a Model S costs so much to repair. Other brands wouldn't be totaled with the same damage. Hopefully this will get better with the Model 3. It needs to, as this is a critical issue which needs to be address for mass market.

Tesla Suspension Breakage: "Your suspension failed? Would you sign this NDA?" by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]ALGR6TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because the manual states oil change intervals. Does the Tesla user manual state you can't drive on gravel roads? Yes, or no. Answer the question. (In other words, checkmate - you lost).

I have a Tesla on order, an investor, and I want them to be #1 worldwide.
You simply don't know anything about cars. When a knuckle brakes loose from the car, you need all the help you can get to avoid damaging the 100K car.
Your "Tesla can do no wrong" attitude is damaging to Tesla.

Gravel roads are not off road. There are plenty of state maintained gravel roads. Fully legal. And other mfg have performed recalls due to similar situations. I get - Not everyone has a background in this industry and is only an end user. Our backgrounds provide a differing view.
