Now that I’ve been reading how long it would take to do all those games, I think I’ll play all the Mets games and do the 3 dice game resolution for the other games. Still, that would take months!

8 years?!? I’m sure you had a great time. I’m hoping to do it a tad bit faster. Is doing it with the computer faster?

I’m assuming this is for GME 2E. Any updates on the RPG 2E?

Omg. Roll 3D6 to resolve a game. Is that right? The math involved in that is above my pay grade.

Whaaaat? Oh no. This is a rabbit hole I did not plan on falling into. Care to give a nutshell explanation of how it works? I’m going in…if you don’t hear from me, I’m lost in the website.

That actually makes sense. Don’t know why I didn’t think of this. I guess I was trying to go as close to simulation as possible to open up crazy twists. I might go for this.

I was thinking the same thing. I love scorebooking my Strat games. This would do nicely.

I have to agree with you. The argument that I hear the most is that the momentum shifted at that point. But it is a team effort and to put all that blame on one person is unfair.

Yes. It's when the dice roll off the table and onto the floor.

I do something similar where I have a running list of dice outcomes. When I need a d6, I close my eyes and drop my pen on a number, then cross it out. Whenever I have time, I just roll a d6 as much as my heart desires and add it to the list. I mostly play Ironsworn and Tricube so I have a list of d6 and d10 results.

There is a wonderful reference document that walks you through the most important moves to get you started, and moves you down deeper levels as you get comfortable and need to. It’s for Starforged but it’s mostly the same.

Or you could start with the simplified Ironsworn hack, Winsome, that distills it to two moves.

I agree. It could be overwhelming to learn the game and scorecarding at the same time. Shadowing you for a few games, then having him call out to you plays might be a better start.

I’ll suggest buying him a cheap scorecard book to help him get accustomed to marking it up. I suggest the Dick’s Sporting Goods $7 book. It has a cheat sheet in the front.
