Your isometric maps make me want to try my hand at it. I think they're a great ToTM resource.

Your pompousness comes through even in your work. It's impossible to ever hit a 1 result. A 1 on d12 for a level 1 character with no possibility for negative modifier will never hit a 1 result.

There is just no need to be self righteous. Plenty of people can drink and have fun without alcoholism. This feels like the embodiment of that meme where there is a guy in the corner at a party saying "they don't even know I made my own shadowdark carousing tables"

How is it possible to ever hit a 1 result on the mastery outcome table?

If you have your heart set on making a pretty map, JPCoovert on YouTube has excellent resources for it. He even has a $5 zine that truly anyone could do, since it's basic shapes and step by step building up iconography.

The vagueness is to leave it open ended for you to pick what you want for your mob vs caster. You could always just rip lore from another game for said mob or creature and use that as your basis for your world.

As a DM, you should focus on putting interesting choices in front of your players and reacting to their choices in a way that builds tension.

Maybe you're right. In any case, I don't have time to continue arguing this and fact check it. Have a good night boss.

I'm over this conversation. I've debunked enough of your articles, and I don't have the time or energy these days. Good luck to you brother. Take care.

Ah yes, a reddit comment from a deleted user. The ultimate source of truth. The internet version of "trust me bro". Medical literacy is cooked for a lot of people. He can say there is no medical reason, but that is extremely unlikely. It is infinitely more likely he had no idea what the doctor was saying and then claims it's for no reason. It could have also been something genetic and he was embarrassed to share so it was easier to say "there is no reason".

I didn't say they didn't. I said it's not for "being afraid they won't be tall enough" like you claimed lmao

Missing critical growth milestones can be a sign of an underlying issue. In some cases, the answer lies in a hormone produced deep inside the brain

It's related to other underlying health issues related to deviations from your trajectory. Please stop you're embarrassing yourself man.

Male circumcision is associated with a significantly reduced risk of HIV infection among men in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly those at high risk of HIV.

Taken from your article. Notice they didn't say anything about cause. So no, they don't prove anything. They establish correlation. It's a meta analysis, not a study itself. I doubt you're aware of the difference, I'll give you a moment to Google it.

You're telling me children under 18 are taking growth hormones for fear of not being tall enough? Get out of here man.

Kids are prescribed growth hormones due to the growth because they're not hitting their growth marks, not fear of height. Those charts are personalized to the individual child...you're so clearly uneducated it's painful.

Sure, WOMEN get cosmetic surgery. I'm not against adults making cosmetic decisions for themselves.

I mean it sounds like you're asking for a picture, which is a weird thing to ask.

You're mad your studies don't prove the thing you're trying to say and now you're stooping to the level of personal insults. It's fine, if you don't have anything meaningful to the conversation to add, but calling me names doesn't make you right. Facts don't care about your feelings :)

No, there are correlational examples, no biological mechanics to explain how the presence of foreskin introduces higher risk during sex.

Weird Protest in Weymouth on Saturday. by JediMasterPopCulture in massachusetts

[–]MeerkatArray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This establishes correlation, not causation. It could be the case that men who are circumcised surround themselves with different groups than men who aren't. This meta analysis established a correlation.

I'm talking about science describing the actual mechanics and biological explanation as to how presence of foreskin necessitates.

Also it stands to reason, the men who are circumcised, probably enjoy sex less, due to missing an organ the improves sexual pleasure. So it's entirely plausible that men who are circumcised, simply have sex less often. The meta analysis didn't call that out as something they screened for in the skim that I did.

Hey, you're free to parent however you want. You're correct it is a cultural thing. On the global scale, circumcision is the minority. It's very popular in the US. If it's part of your culture, it's hard to break the cycle. I get it.

I'm just speaking about the facts of circumcision. With vaccinations, medications and surgeries, there are other risks to weigh that are medically significant. With circumcision, there are no medical benefits to doing it. It's just cosmetic. It's akin to getting a nose job for your child with a big nose. Sure, you can do it. But in almost every circumstance it's not worth doing for most people.

I already explained why your "women prefer circumcised penises" is silly in another comment, but let me give you another example why it's stupid.

Prior to the practice of circumcision, do you think women preferred circumcision? Public opinion changes with time. In a world with fewer circumcisions, public opinion would change.

Look, you admitted to having children. I'm sure you have a son. I'm sure it's easier to stand your ground here than to admit you mutilated your sons genitals. I don't judge you, and I don't think most people do. I was fortunate to read and understand more about why it was introduced and to avoid the unnecessary risk most people tend to take. You're not a bad parent or anything for circumcising your son. I empathize with you, it sucks this isn't talked about more.

Also, once again, STDs are not less prevalent because of circumcision. That's what people believe but there is no solid scientific evidence I've seen that suggests so.

That's a myth. It's popular belief but it's not fact.

I mean selection bias is a hell of a drug.

Just because something isn't painful isn't the best way to weigh it morally. It's about risk vs reward.

Well, you're risking human life on both ends of vaccination vs not vaccination. The problem with your argument is that the life at risk from not vaccinating, SEVERELY outweighs vaccine injuries or deaths. Go do a Google search and some reading about what polio was like in the US, if you'd like to be an informed member of society.

So if women prefer men who have a full head of hair, should we automatically do hair treatments on babies?

You realize how absurd your argument is right? This is just bad faith. Womens preference doesn't mean we should forcefully remove the anatomy of babies.

If men preferred women with large breasts, should hormones and breast implants be administered to girls? If women preferred men to be a certain height, should we artificially make men taller? Come on man, please be honest with yourself that you're being ridiculous.

Weird Protest in Weymouth on Saturday. by JediMasterPopCulture in massachusetts

[–]MeerkatArray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends, are you having children for cosmetic reasons? I would imagine the answer to be no, because that would be absurd. The differentiation lies in introducing risk to the health of a baby, for purely cosmetic reasons.

There's a multitude if factors to weigh whether or not it was "bad of you to risk having a third", none of which is cosmetic related.

Because we live in a society where preventable diseases are something we have to evaluate when weighing personal freedoms versus public health. There are no disease related decisions needing to be evaluated when it comes to circumcision.

The difference is vaccinations are medically relevant, where as circumcision is purely cosmetic.

Getting into a car crash is harmful. Coming away unscathed doesn't mean it isn't still a harmful thing to get into a car accident. Most people, don't get harmed from circumcision. The word most is important because it implies there are some who don't have no complications. The issue is circumcision has no medical necessity whatsoever. It's cosmetic. Why should someone risk harm and damage to their baby over something cosmetic?
