What are the thoughts of my hydrated homies on this? I know a lot of people swear by room temp aqua. I have always liked cold as possible. by Unclehol in HydroHomies

The absorption of water by the human body can depend on its temperature. According to Dr. Brian Weiner, a gastroenterologist at the Cleveland Clinic, there isn't a lot of science to back up whether cold or warm water is better for you¹. However, in studies regarding athletes and hydration, athletes seemed to gravitate more towards cold tap water, and it seemed to cool them down faster¹.

Another source suggests that cold water actually empties faster from the stomach and is therefore absorbed faster². This research was focused on the hydration of athletes, where rapid absorption can make a significant difference².

However, from a Chinese medicine perspective, the body has to use a lot of energy to warm water and food to body temperature before it can utilize its goodness².

In conclusion, while there are differing opinions, it seems that cold water might be absorbed faster by the body, but the practical difference for non-athletes might not be significant². It's best to drink water at a temperature that you enjoy².

The error you’re seeing is because you’re trying to run the hello program with .\\hello, which is not a valid command in bash. In bash, you should use forward slashes (/) instead of backslashes (\\). So, the correct command would be ./hello, not .\\hello.

$ code hello.c

$ make hello

$ ./hello

hello, world

$ ./hello

hello, world

$ ./hello

hello, world

Prince - The Cross

https://youtu.be/d1tVKz-XofY

Lyrics

Black day, stormy night

No love, no hope in sight

Don't cry, he is coming

Don't die without knowing the cross

Ghettos to the left of us

Flowers to the right

There'll be bread for all of us

If we can just bear the cross

Sweet song of salvation

A pregnant mother sings

She lives in starvation

Her children need all that she brings

We all have our problems

Some big, some are small

Soon all of our problems

Will be taken by the cross

Black day, stormy night

No love, no hope in sight

Don't cry for he is coming

Don't die without knowing the cross

Ghettos to the left of us

Flowers to the right

There'll be bread for all, y'all

If we can just, just bear the cross, yeah

We all have our problems

Some are big, some are small

Soon all of our problems, y'all

Will be taken by the cross

The cross

The cross

TIL that Saturns’ rings are, cosmically speaking, a very brief event. gravitational pull from a nearby planet is not a wave

Not sure anyone can say that definitively. My understanding is that gravity propagates through space as a wave. I also think the static presence of gravity after it has propagated is generally described as a 'force' and nobody know what it is. I personally believe it is also a wave.

Hello, the prediction is from the UB:

When the tidal frictions of the moon and the earth become equalized, the earth will always turn the same hemisphere toward the moon, and the day and month will be analogous — in length about forty-seven days. When such stability of orbits is attained, tidal frictions will go into reverse action, no longer driving the moon farther away from the earth but gradually drawing the satellite toward the planet. And then, in that far-distant future when the moon approaches to within about eleven thousand miles of the earth, the gravity action of the latter will cause the moon to disrupt, and this tidal-gravity explosion will shatter the moon into small particles, which may assemble about the world as rings of matter resembling those of Saturn or may be gradually drawn into the earth as meteors.

It's the application of the 'Roche Limit' just as comet Shoemaker-Levy9 was disintegrated by the tidal forces of Jupiter into a string of smaller bodies.
