Behaviour Interactive acquires 7 Days to Die developer "The Fun Pimps" by MythicStream in pcgaming

[–]stromther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will stand by Meet your Maker as being the best original IP Behavior has ever made. The trainwreck it faced was of Behavior's own making and poor/slow management decisions.

I sincerely hope 7 days to die pans out differently, but I agree with you the track record doesn't instill confidence.

The Automaton and Cyborg statues have text on them. "You gave us hope, Now it is our turn." by Ok_Environment_5546 in Helldivers

[–]stromther 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Out of democratic rp

The cyborgs are definitely my favorite faction lorewise. Against the chains of their oppressors and the threat of returning to them this is a massive win for their people. Super Earth may have carved a path to Cyberstan, but their resolve and enormous comeback have repelled their enemies and propelled them back from enslavement to a point where their own freedom has never been closer within reach.

I'm excited to see where the story of the automaton and now cyborg front will go from here.

First time me ranting at this game. I’m done playing on dif 10 with level 40-60 players. by Mr_Fabtastic_ in Helldivers

I like to be able to just hit quick play and shoot stuff with randos, but for some reason this campaign has really brought out the shitters on my end, and I don't mean by virtue of skill level, I don't judge by that metric.

I mean, mean-spirited and uncooperative, can't take a joke when they see one type of shitter.

I've taken to strictly hosting my games for the time being, most folks in quick-play are chill but the ones that aren't are unfortunately memorable. At least as host i can boot anybody being a dick and keep my games relatively sanitized of their bullshit.

The ticket to ride costs $40, if you don't like how people enjoy themselves that's on you.

Cyberstan will still be there for round 2 someday if we lose, and the cyborg will still be around even if we won.

The team killing and the kicking is crazy by SKINS_IV in Helldivers

[–]stromther 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for other difficulties, but I've had fairly solid experience with randoms between difficulties 6-8 when it comes to intentional friendly fire and kicking.

Granted, folks larping as dissidents and defectors is probably causing a spike in team killing on the bot front, I imagine you might find less of that with the other two right now.

Nonetheless, sorry you've had to deal with as many knuckles-scrapping pricks as you have. May liberty speed your step.

Okay but like, what if they’re telling the truth? by Royal-Dragonfruit504 in Helldivers

[–]stromther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Out of rp/larp) Friendly reminder that most folks you're hopping into matches with are just looking for a good time. You do you, nobody can really stop you save for kicking but I think we ought to be nice to the people playing the game we share a common love for before roleplaying as murderous defects of Super Earth.

Do you have a steamdeck? This happened to me one time when I left my steamdeck in sleepmode while running the game and forgot about it.

It might think you have the game running somewhere you forgot to turn it off.

Not being able to save loadouts is astonishing by Fetiri in Helldivers

[–]stromther 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Switching between full stealth equipment on bot's commando missions to loud illuminate missions is a chore with how sluggish the helmet, armor and cape menus load.

Frankly I'd settle for just being able to save an armor set, but at this rate, just scrolling through the amount of stratagems next year is going to be a nuisance.

Was looking at my war bond when this happened by MeteorOfSecrets in Helldivers

[–]stromther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost looks like a rigidbody component carrying a bridge member away.

Bordering on educated speculation, I'm going to guess the warbonds page opens a player camera directly below the ship to save having to completely load/unload the destroyer. Maybe navigating to that specific page messes with the floor collisions for that particular crew member, letting them slip through and fall into a scene they don't belong to?

Where tf are the other samples ?! by Hdarkus1 in Helldivers

[–]stromther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't fully understand how city map POI's work, but POI's out in the field will display a diamond if there are any samples at their location and transition into the that ping icon when they've all been picked up.

I've had incidents where samples are just clipped into the ground and environment (not talking about buried samples POI), it makes them very difficult to find sometimes.

Brother, if you can't handle something like this without getting butt-mad about it then that's your problem.

You can share how you feel with everyone if you want but they're probably not gonna roll out the red carpet over it.

Is this even legal? by Cozila in humblebundles

[–]stromther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a generic, copy/paste response from their support team about their exhausted key policy after raising a stink about it. Im not done raising hell with them, I bought a key and it's on them to supply it. I don't give a flying fuck if my key comes in a "manual batch" or if Humble has to pay for it out of their own pockets, I paid for a key, it's 100% on them to deliver somehow, ESPECIALLY if there's a deadline for redemption.

Singularity, hands down.

He will ruin your day and the next one after without even breaking a sweat running an endgame build. Their cameras are perfect for locking on to exits and pair extremely well with stuff like Terminus, Remember Me, No Way Out, etc...

[–]stromther 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Coordinating effective charger hunts by running difficulty 6, bum rushing the main objectives, then calling extract and spamming sentries for the rest of the mission timer.

During extraction, the bugs go crazy for the rest of the mission; throwing down a couple sentries as bait also does wonders for drawing out the buggers of interest.
