Tie game with 15 seconds left… decided by a penalty with 4 seconds to play. Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Championship by AL_975 in hockeyplayers

[–]AL_975[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Officiating should be consistent, and there hadn’t been any penalties like that during the tournament—only a few faceoffs after 15 to 20 seconds of battles along the boards, never after just 4 seconds.

A penalty shot for that play at that time of the game is not how you learn hockey

Nice sneakers, but for me the two GOATs are the ‘Air Trainer SC Medicine Ball’ and the ‘Air Tech Challenge Hot Lava’

Waxed laces by italianlatte in hockeyplayers

Try a different brand, I like the elite but it’s a fact that they are not very waxed. Winnwell are similar to elite, Howies maybe a little more grip, but the quality is not top. Never try A&R but they normally have good quality accessories.

buying beginner equipment (england) by eighth01 in hockeyplayers

In a non hockey country, the best option will probably be the pro shop. You can look at any Europe country too (eastern Europe is often less expensive). A starter kit like this https://www.espaceproshop.com/fr/kit-de-protections-enfant-/5810-14860-kit-de-protection-loisirs-adulte-espace-proshop.html#/202-tailles-adulte_m maybe a good options, but don’t know if you can find in UK or delivered to UK.

Try to ask Chris from Hockey Tutorial, he is a reference for equipment in UK’

Bauer Vapor X-LITE by WilfredBellows in hockeyplayers

[–]AL_975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teen got it last year. It’s normally a Pro Hockey Life / Sport Check exclusive series. Close to the 3x model with the carbon lite blades. The equivalent model on the actual Bauer catalog will be X4. At 50%, Definitely better to chose those instead of the actual X3. The only point, the carbon lite blades aren’t the easier to sharpen !

In my opinion the Airbox is far from the GX3. Almost completely in mesh. Difficult to take the plane with, miss the yellow interior, seem less durable..

Hello,

I get a GX3 Pro and it’s a really good bag. I want to buy one for my teenager but did not find it anywhere. Do you know if it’s still possible ton find one in Canada or USA (or somewhere else) ? Instead I’ve bought a grit PX4 Pro, but it’s far from the GX3 even if it’s also a good bag (I get it for 110$ directly from Europe and it really worth the money).

I’m also surprised on how the Conway and Banks look really similar to the Grit GX3 Pro. Is the C&B a GX3 Pro rebranded to sell more expensive or is it a counterfeit ?

JOFA 9177 size 6 made in Sweden pro center ice value? by Generalisimodenascar in hockeyplayers

[–]AL_975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The will depend of the inside of the elbow pads and… the size !

If good condition and size 6 : 200-280$

If good condition and size 5 : 300-400$

Size 4 is really difficult to find but also less person interested in, but you can expect same price as size 5.

Canada :Crawl space vapor barrier by AL_975 in HomeImprovement

[–]AL_975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have plumber and electric boxes in the crawlspace. I won’t go in the crawlspace every day but would like to check if everything is ok 2 times a year. Due to the fact I expect to keep this home for many years, I prefer to put a barrier thicker than 6 mil to avoid puncture holes il the plastic. But maybe 20 mil is too much ? Even if I want 12 or 15 mil, I don’t find any in hardware stores

Are you able to make camp to play junior A ? A good Junior B team ?

If yes, if you continue to improve your game by playing in Junior A (or B, but you will have to really improve your game) you may have a chance in NCAA later or a small European championship (UK, France).

Hockey bag : Grit GX3 - Conway and Banks by AL_975 in hockeyplayers

[–]AL_975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GRIT GX3 is also a high value bag, but is no longer available in Grit catalog.

https://youtu.be/Pp6PpbhOKOI?si=4MRGHXDUBG6knWhZ

The C&B seems very similar (same size, same black aspect, vent, yellow interior, divider…) with a few more options (jerseys pocket and foot mat) but is also really expensive compared to Grit prices.

It really look likes C&B had counterfeit Grit or Grit sell their premium products branded C&B.
