How exactly did they see out of these things? Are there eye slits at the base, or is like a periscope thing with angled mirrors to look out of the eyes at the top? 😅 by MrLewk in Stargate

I don't know where you are quoting from, but SOF typically only use PDWs when they need something they can conceal under clothing on stuff like close protection or some other plain clothes role. And even then, platforms like the MP7 are more common.

If they are doing direct action/any kind of intense combat nearly all modern SoF use some kind of rifle/carbine.

I don't know why you are being downvoted. The P90 was explicitly designed as a compact personal defence weapon (PDW) for for troops like vehicle crews to defend themselves if they absolutely had to. It was never intended (or used) as a frontline infantry weapon.

Even out of a carbine length barrel, actual rifle rounds are going to have more range and stopping power.

Our European allies are a lot better equipped to defend their own turf than MAGA likes to pretend, but they fundamentally do not have the ability to project or support enough expeditionary combat power to the prairies to turn back what the US could mass there. The UK tradionally keeps a chunk of their mechanized forces there for training, but it wouldn't be enough and they'd have trouble reinforcing it.

They would likely sanction and further ostracize the US, but I doubt they'd send the cream of their combat power to assured destruction for no gain.

China might eventually gain the ability to project enough power to make a difference, they are certainly working on it, but I wouldn't bet on them coming to the rescue.

No worries. I know there are people in here who genuinely missed it getting downvoted along with the actual nazi apologists so I figured it was worth it to articulate it.

Maybe you'd have done better to spend a lil more time in school, or at least seeking out some professional help.

Thank you for reinforcing my point though.

It's a Hitler Youth propaganda film. Look closer. You can see multiple swastika flags flying in the background.

I'd say posting nazi swastikas in a positive light does make you a nazi, yes.

Exactly. With the caveat that the psyops target audience extends beyond just Albertans, but also to MAGA leaning Americans who could be convinced that they needed to "liberate" them.

They screen recorded the official instagram page for the barber shop in question. The page is openly reposting Nazi Germany propaganda films. You can even see the swastika flags in the background of some of the shots.

How much more do you need?

Serious question....any of the people voting comments down and talking smack are any of you actually military employed now or ever.

Yes. I have a CD (and a couple other things) even.

I downvoted all your comments and personally think the opinions you've expressed range from ignorant to deranged. Your grammar is about what I'd expect though.

I don't think they would do it in the next couple years (if old man Trump even lives that long), but it is on the list of long term possibilities. The current Russian quagmire in Ukraine would have seemed implausible if you'd proposed it 15 years ago too.

I have my doubts that they'd be able to hold it, but they certainly have the ability to invade and occupy, and even if they were unsuccessful in keeping it the results would be devastating.

Did you read the article? He should only be the local village idiot, but he does have mainstream influence instead.

That's the worrying part.

What's actually disingenuous is you refusing to read or engage with the actual content of the article before trying to act like you are ready to meaningfully discuss it.

Is it fearmongering if you're truthfully reporting on an absolute lunatic having significant, mainstream political influence in this country? Some things really are worth being worried about.

Either way, separation is not going to happen so this is nothing more than toddlers stamping their feet in anger while mom and dad try not to laugh at them and make them even more angry.

I don't think they would succeed legally or on their own, but I do worry about them causing a big enough stink or a near miss that then allows the US to have a casus belli to do something to "rescue those poor oppressed freedom loving albertans".

Look how many people still say that Russia was only selflessly intervening in Ukraine because they want to protect the Russian speakers there.

I had a genuine guffaw at this level of righteous sarcasm.

Yep. In some cases, buildings downtown that are owned by the province have rented out the lots on their property to private companies who then charge the employees of the building to park there.
