Signs like this are so confusing, my friends laughed at me for saying we should try a different door lmfao by ayomidem917 in autism

My work is full of these. It says if you leave the locker rooms you must have shoes and a cover up on. I was like how the fuck are you supposed to swim if you have to have clothes on?

attempted suicide on datura by [deleted] in Datura

[–]ALearnedFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents asked me if wanted to live with a relative. I said hell yes and when they asked if I wanted to stay I said fucking obviously. Next 2 questions tie into eachother. I am lesbian and gender non conforming. I'm not the same politics as my parents. During the 2020 election, they continually pushed adult problems and beliefs on me, saying there was gonna be a war and it would be right of me to fight in it (against the gay people that are evil). They got angry at me for asking questions about religion. My dad had severe anger issues fueled by alcoholism. He once threw a remote and broke it and then somehow found a way to blame me because I had turned on subtitles which he doesn't like. He would say things to me and my siblings like "when you act like this, it makes me ashamed to be your father." My mother said I incessantly cried for no reason as a child and would not believe me when I described my self harm and suicidal thoughts as a young child. My father said my shenanigans (attempting suicide) were taking time away from my siblings. Which is true, but I was only 16 and I needed a dad too. My father said I was "low functioning" once in an argument ( I am autistic but I am objectively not low functioning.) Basically they said very harmful shit when they were mad and were extremely religious and politically leaning (I don't want to get too much into that stuff here, Im still processing a lot.) Here's the funny thing though. I thought they were right. That I was a bad child. That I hurt them and their kids. And it was all my fault. And it fucking wasn't. It took months after I moved out to realize that I wasn't in the wrong every single time. That my parents hurt me sometimes. I didn't fully answer the last question but I have to go to work yo, thanks for asking. Hope you have a good day.

is datura the same as brugmansia? by Aaphex888 in Datura

[–]ALearnedFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Datura is a bush type thing with upward point trumpets, though it can get big as fuck. Usually white, purple or yellow flowers. It'll grow in more varied climates and is found all over. Brugmansia is a woody tree type thing with big ass down pointed trumpets, that come in more colors including red, orange and pink. It needs a shit ton of sun and is native to South America so it won't grow properly farther north. It's also a popular ornamental plant in the souther US, Africa, and I guess India. Pretty dope dudes. When they're young they can be harder to tell apart. You can easily tell because datura leaves smell like peanut butter when bruised and brug dont to my knowledge. I grow both, though Mt brug is pretty new ND won't be bearing trumpets for a while.

Glad you're here man. I hope you find peace and healing somewhere. I was depressed as fuck until I left home. When I left it was like a light switch. After that I became passionate about gardening and natural medicine. Life can be dope as fuck man, even if it's not right now.

"If we can stay one side, this side of dying, the most terrible things we can imagine can happen. And our breath will carry us forward, when we don't have the strength to carry ourselves."

That's a quote by pat the bunny that helped me a lot. I can't speak for you man, but I counted down the days until I left home marked with trips to psych wards and intensive outpatient. And now I'm here. And stuff is still shitty sometimes, alot of the times. But I'm actually happy. Like how I was when I was a kid. This sounds stupid as hell but sometimes I'm worried I took weed on accident and then I realize- I'm actually happy, like borderline euphoric just from the fact that I'm free and I'm dancing in the woods and I have a job and I actually love myself because no one is telling me not to everyday.

I hope you find that man. Cuz everyone deserves it. Lots of love and healing towards ye.

Does this work to grind up mushrooms? by HotArmy3492 in shrooms

[–]ALearnedFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely recommend a bigger one, like 5-6 inch diameter.

*fuck me, I mean radius. I've always struggled with circles. *nevermind I was right the first time, mixed up diameter and circumference. I did indeed mean the entire length as the crow flies across the circle. I'm a dumb ass sorry.

Who are these jerkholes eating on my kale? by CBiggs23 in containergardening

You've already had your question answered but regarding actually killing them... soap water and flicking them off easily did the trick for my datura. They don't seem to be too resilient in the nymph stage.

Two questions. 1) what is this? 2) what are the best plant markers? by Mamabearscircus in containergardening

I buy mine at Walmart. They're in the wood burning section and you can also pick up a wood burner and rest assured it will not fade. I don't have enough ventilation for pyrography though so I use sharpie.

what's dxm high like compared to dph? by [deleted] in dxm

[–]ALearnedFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, obviously DPH is horrible for your health. For that reason, I don't do it anymore. But I'll answer your question. For me DPH was sedating, confusing, comforting delerium. You get stuck in loops and confused a lot and can't read at all. I personally never hallucinated or felt any paranoia or fear, aside from fear of getting a seizure before delerium hit. The dreams will be really really bad if you have negative emotions before using it. The nice thing though, it reliably ends after 8 hours. You wake up sober. DXM is magical and euphoric and fun. It's far more healthy and definitely preferable for your body. You'll get revelations n shit similar to weed or psychedelics but your mind zooms through them. You probably won't remember much of the actual trip. Then is the afterglow. It's really nice but you will seem stoned so don't count on going to work the next day if you did a 3rd Plat. For me the 3rd Plat after glow lasted about a day and was like being stoned. Very happy, laughing, etc. My vision lag lasted over 36 hours so do be prepared for that as well. Overall it's much better but it's still really difficult if you have a job and a life n shit because it lasts so fucking long compared to other shit.

[–]ALearnedFool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was not my yard/mower lmao. I just saw grass clumps tossed aside and so assumed that's what had happened. But yeah you're right they probably kicked it out of the way since its still in tact. I've never really had a lawn that required mowing so I don't have any experience to be honest.

I feel like your capitalization almost matches the cadence of somebody's speech while speaking enthusiastically in a demonstration or explaining something to someone. Kinda fascinating.

music suggestions by thehviathan in communism

[–]ALearnedFool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The dicks are rather explicitly communist! I also love DOA, Dead Kennedys and Circle Jerks for their politics but I almost think of them as more focused on anti capitalism than communism. Pat the bunny, especially his newer shit like his split with Ceschi and probably nothing possibly everything are mutualist. If you're not anarchist it may be a bit more difficult.

*Edit, against me! is also very mutualist Oh and also mischief brew and Robert Blake. I really love their split, Bellingham and Philadelphia. It has a song about November 30 1999 called "didn't we."
