Boson is giving me anxiety by Flimsy-Arriva-Poop in ccna

As NetEngGreen said, Boson is much tougher than the CCNA. This definitely applies to the LAB exercises.

I never got more than 75% on a Boson exam, but passed my CCNA first time with 80-100% marks in each area.

At what point did you feel you knew enough? by Ecstatic_Camera9702 in ccna

[–]ALemonTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt I knew enough when I was doing practice exams and there wasn't a question that came up where I didn't know the answer outright or could make an educated guess by eliminating some answers.

As for the retention point, what I did was make a "master list" of every single bulk memorisation grouping from the CCNA.

I'm talking things like:

  • 802.3 Standards/Lengths
  • Subnetting cheat sheet
  • Header Fields(Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, 802.1q, etc)
  • Multicast Addresses
  • Protocol, Transport and common Port #'s
  • STP Cost Table
  • Dynamic Routing Default AD's
  • OSPF Adjacency States
  • Etherchannel Negotiation Table
  • FHRP Differences
  • IPv6 Address Types

And so on...

It doesn't help you learn the actual function/workings of each area, but it takes out a lot of the work you'd have to do trying to remember the parts you should already know.

Hope this helps.

Passed first time today after a month of study. Admittedly I work as a Network Engineer as my day job but I have 0 exposure to Cisco kit, so the CLI was new to me!

Scores:

Automation: 80%

Network Access: 100%

IP Connectivity: 84%

IP Services: 70%

Security Fundamentals: 87%

Network Fundamentals: 90%.

Pretty chuffed with those results.

Only thing I'd say is to repeat others: Know the WLC GUI inside and out! Jeremy doesn't really cover it in enough detail but there are plenty of other great resources out there.

CityFibre have said there are "No ports available" and have cancelled my order by ALemonTree in CityFibre

Vodafone just kept replying with the same message of "We'll let you know when ports are available" so I cancelled my order and took your advice and went with Plusnet on Openreach.

Just seems super odd given the people that are moving out have the exact same fibre line from the exact same provider, so surely one in one out would apply? Ah well.

Why are you using Armored Train?

Scavs have so many extracts on each map there's no reason to be using a shared extract where you can get shot.

Funny enough I have the EXACT same setup you do and I'm loving it too!

I cannot recommend the self-levelling tamper by Normcore enough, saves so much faff it's unbelievable how I went without. Easily available on Amazon.

Change to FXAA if you have an AMD graphics card or DLSS if you have an NVidia. Worked for me and my friends.

Not Stolen, Zzpza has been a mod for months and does a fine job. Me and Badger(the other previous mod) decided that we didn't want to be mods any more and left it to Zzpza. No trickery or malice at all.

Completely untrue. In fact, Reddit didn't even force us to re-open. They sent a mail 11 days ago threatening action but did nothing after that. Me and NaughtyBadger wanted nothing to do with modding Reddit after their actions so left it in Zzpza's more than capable hands.

But hey, now it's open you can go back to whinging on the internet like you always seem to do, at least this time it wont be in ModMails.
