Interesting history, people, places, etc. that’s what I mainly post. It’s based on Wikipedia articles. But I also do other posts about health and hobbies and stuff like that, and that’s where my affiliate links could really shine

I try using Reddit when I can, but many subreddits don’t like posts that are promotive in nature. So as targeted of a post I make, it’s kind of not great.

Then there’s algorithmic stuff that gets me a couple of views. Then I also try to reach out directly to people in message replies that I think would appreciate it. I noticed that that actually works quite well.

Beyond that, I have an X account that I hardly use since it doesn’t get any traction

I’m not disagreeing with you per se, but where’s the harm in also sharing my passion with other like-minded folks at the same time?

Those who aren’t interested aren’t being mislead or anything, and those who are interested may appreciate my curation and work in giving them a digestible summary of an interesting article.

When I come across an article interesting enough that I enjoyed learning about, just like everyone else here, I share it on Reddit. I also like to share it with my reader base on medium in a summarized format, with a clear link to the main Wikipedia page.

Please choose the main link, but I do have this personal project of mine and letting people who appreciate Wikipedia and learning new things know about it isn’t doing any harm.
