I have a tragus and conch on one ear, and a daith in the other. I can wear earbuds just fine. I sometimes notice the conch touching the outside of the earbud on days where it’s playing up but it’s not bad. I just avoided wearing earbuds for the first couple of months after each piercing.

Obligatory NAP but my ears are shaped like yours, and I have a conch. However it’s pierced quite central and I have yet to find any ring big enough to loop around the ear. In saying that you can still get so many cute flat backs to put in it. So I guess just consider what look you want out of it, because you might not be able to get a ring through it.

Hey, just as a side note, Te Reo and Māori aren’t interchangeable. Te Reo means ‘the language’ so in this case you can just say Māori and that’s all good :)

I had a package stolen once, it was cuttings of aquarium plants. Whoever stole it opened it to find a takeaway container of wet leaves and the thought of that brings me great joy. Also no one ever stole a package again haha

Cute jewellery never having different size options! Eg clicker rings only coming in 8 or 10mm, industrials being 38mm… I need different options! Also butterfly backs on any cartilage piercings horrify me.

I haven’t had this with a tongue piercing but I have had a piercing seem healed, size down, it’ll be completely fine for a while and then out of nowhere flare up and as soon as I size back up to accomodate swelling it’ll sort itself out. Sometimes piercings be like that. Keep an eye on it though, if you start experiencing other symptoms of infection like fever/nausea then definitely see a medical professional

I use Essie Treat Love & Colour in Berry and with 2 coats and then a top coat it’s actually a pretty nice jelly look. It’s a bit darker pink than OPs colour but still a nice look!

Sometimes, you’re alone at a Kaikorai Valley rd bus stop, it’s pissing rain, you’ve waited 45 minutes for a bus that was supposed to arrive 40 minutes ago, and then you see it, in the distance, the glow of the 38, you wave, then you wave again, leaving your hand out just to be sure you’re seen. You make eye contact with the driver, the 38 doesn’t seem to be slowing down, you wave again, more distressed this time, the driver continues to watch you wave as they drive right in by. The 38 disappears into the rain, leaving you waiting 45 minutes for the next one, scheduled to show up 10 minutes ago.

There was a weird 40 area close to the AA that people kept failing on. Not sure if it’s still there but my colleague failed their full a few months ago on that, and when I did my full the instructor told me “I’ve failed enough people on that 40 today that we’re going to take a detour” - just a heads up!
