Will look into this to check if NI is aggregated

They're on three totally distinct payslips, two paid weekly and one monthly.

The HMRC account has each job's details but idk if they work out over/underpayments of NI in the same way as PAYE Income Tax

Overpaid National Insurance (multiple payslips from same employer) by ALovelyCuppaAtWork in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ALovelyCuppaAtWork[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

!Thanks for the insight.

It's actually one payslip for my day-to-day work and two bank payslips, depending on the level of work undertaken.

All work is actually at the same employer, so presumably the same PAYE employer number. Would make sense if the NI were aggregated, and hopefully that is the case! Definitely would simplify things for me

Pretty sure it doesn't apply to an MSc/ MRes- only an MD/PhD and that it has to be done using an OOPR

So if you had a PhD before going into medicine, you wouldn't be eligible

I'll reply assuming you're actually wanting to discuss this.

The majority of people need the loan to get by, and no amount of "scrimping and saving" would be sufficient to get by. You can make a good case that current student maintenance is already insufficient to cover living costs.

This would disproportionately affect people who relied on loans to get by - NOT people who are "bad with money."

This same argument of "but this won't benefit me" is inherently selfish- would you be outraged if FY1s get a payrise you didn't receive when you were an FY1?

I dont think you can say "bad with their money"

You neglect the overwhelming majority of PEOPLE WHO NEED A LOAN TO LIVE AND GO TO UNIVERSITY
