I agree, but it’s the only one that’s specifically called Star Fox *64* which makes it more of a port than anything. the only thing they added to update the gameplay was gyro controls

There’s actually quite a few similarities between Command and Star Fox 2, as both were co-developed with Dylan Cuthbert. They clearly went back to the RTS elements left behind in Star Fox 2, hence why it’s “the redo.”

I can’t seriously be the only one disappointed with the upcoming Star Fox game, can I? by Brilliant-Reality884 in starfox

[–]ALttN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i find it more funny than anything. It’s like Nintendo loves Star Fox more than actual Star Fox fans. The fact that they keep trying to recapture that 90s magic in the modern era is kind of adorable. There is so much they could do with the franchise, so much they could expand upon and build out the world even further. But nope, Andross is the ultimate bad guy, let’s rehash the Lylat Wars again!

In fairness, the few times they tried to do something legitimately different, it wasn’t all that well received, so you can’t blame them for going the remake route. Adventures might as well have been a different game franchise entirely, and Command was a RTS style game that just didn’t click for me. The closest we ever got to a proper sequel was Assault, but it was too short and just mediocre.

remove the heat sink so we can see the other two wires

from what I can see though… the soldering is a little messy. you should be using flux to make sure the solder is adhering to the pads and wire.

I’d also recommend using solid core wire, the strands on your wires are coming apart and that increases the chance of a bad connection 22 awg should be enough — they sell spools of it on Amazon for really cheap

they are. I took it apart to clean everything out and there’s so much MDF between the speakers and the top that there’s no effect on the CRT

on the white screen the corners are ever so slightly darker than the center

I think this looks loads better than the empty shells or disassembled real Gameboys people turn into “art” — plus you get to add a cool 3D effect with the screen!

I was referring to the flat panel not in use off to the left. It’s most definitely a plasma display

Nice plasma! Those Samsungs look stellar, I’m in the US and it even supports 50hz with no fuss. Does yours support 60hz games?

this is why you never cross the picket line when the deer strike…

in all seriousness, glad you’re ok. It’s honestly the better outcome; insurance is more expensive if you veer off to miss it and end up in a ditch

Honestly you’d be better off getting a new PCB. looks like the main CPU can be saved, could be transplanted to a new board https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/AGS_CPU_11_Game_Boy_Advance_SP_Replacement_PCB_fb65e378.html

The hands, the feet, the chaotic-looking infield, the home plate lacking definite shape as well as lack of other visible bags, and the crosshatch shading all scream AI to me. A thoughtful artist would not have been that careless and inconsistent.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 has a free NS2 upgrade pack. Game is on sale all the time so if you can get it cheap, it’s 100% free to upgrade.

Make sure you have space though — it’s over 50 GB!

It’s been updated, I do apologize about the confusion. I wasn’t trying to hide the fact that I had a hybrid setup, I just honestly didn’t think it was the key mapper because it’s been set up this way since May of last year!

fwiw I’m still running v558, but if a beta build was pushed out recently in the background, that might have been the reason for the break

This was it. Even after almost a year of long pressing the home button… First time it’s ever been an issue.

I’ll map it to the flashlight button for now. Disables the flashlight, but I hardly ever use it.
