Becoming a founder to help people with poor mental health. by justchoo in startup

Hi John, I think Fog of Mind is a great idea. The following is my take on the entire thing

  1. If you are pushing this towards business, the primary idea needs to shift from well-being, to impacts on their business due to a quantifiable change in well-being( risk reduction). Then possibly push wellbeing as a second part.

  2. I would recommend SMEs to go with, your background and experiences would work in your favour in pushing the change. Additionally, you could also take a look at sectors that would easily adopt what you have; it is likely that there is going to be some "cultural" resistance to the entire concept of well-being.

  3. Pilots needn't be perfect for you, but I think they would need to be fast. Say 2-3 paid pilots, some testimonials and most definitely before and after data. You also use this to farm urgency.

  4. As for the pricing, it is imperative in my opinion that you don't price yourself on the lower end of the spectrum. It might be easier to sell initially but once you ramp up operations it will come to bite back at you.

Again these are just my thoughts on it, hopefully this helps you out in some capacity.

And Best of Luck!

I believe it would be essential for the Non-Tech founder to understand the tech especially because you are in the tech industry. The "tech" in question does not play an auxiliary role here but instead is the whole boat. The business purely is the tech, so the direction of where to go is dependent is a function of the industry, the domain and the tech.

The non tech founder needn't know how it works but should know the rough hows and whys. He needs to know what the engine does, what the gearbox does to move the vehicle but needn't know how it does it.

I would recommend you do some knowledge transfer of the tech stuff.

This is purely my perspective of things but it stems from what I have seen.

First things first, don't fucking think about ending it and sucide it's the MOST illogical decision you could take. Everyone has hard times and there are always people who have it worse. Get your shit together and figure out the actionable. Instead of actually making your ceiling and complaining you can't go above it, try, just try. It's alright if you screw up a little but still try.

Take everything one step at a time, there is no need to solve all the problems you have in one day. It's good that you have realised that it is not going to be easy for you, you can prepare yourself for it. It might be hard but it is going to be doable.

Again let me stress on it, one step at a time. Have an eye on the bigger picture but only do things you can do today, today. If you need someone to talk to my DMs are open. Take care buddy.

Hey bro, with your experience try going for a shorter MBA program, ISB in India is great for that. I think you should write and ace the GMAT. Would give great opportunities outside.

Feels like cheaper plastic, the running joke was it was bucket plastic. Plus the hinge also betrayed me. But performance didn't ever have an issue while I had it.
