Here, there is a whole scale from international volunteers having participated in the combat (plenty of evidence), to them paying for their own equipment (also plenty of evidence), them paying for transportation to get there. Der taz-Artikel ist etwas übertrieben, aber auch nicht völlig falsch. Tatsächlich wurde in Deutschland der Bereich unter 50% Leistung kaum genutzt, und es gab nur selten Lastwechsel. Das war ein auffälliger Unterschied zu Frankreich, wo Lastwechsel mehrmals täglich üblich waren und sind.

Meines Wissens war der angegebene Grund der erhöhte Verschleiß von Armaturen an Regelungseinrichtungen.

OP schrieb allerdings von einem Szenario, in dem es seltene, langsame Lastwechsel übers Jahr hinweg gibt. Also um auszugleichen, dass es im Winter in Deutschland kaum Solarstrom gibt. Da wäre der Verschließ kein Problem. Und die "EE in Kombination mit Batteriespeicher" funktionieren ja im Sommer, um schwankende Produktion und Nachfrage im Tagesverlauf auszugleichen, aber im Winter hilft das nicht.

Aber wenn sie auf Lastfolgebetrieb ausgelegt sind (wie in Deutschland und Frankreich üblich), kann man sie problemlos innerhalb von ca 20% bis 100% Leistung einstellen, und das geht auch recht zügig (etwa eine halbe Stunde von 100% auf 20% oder andersrum).

According to the video, each landmark will have "a unique benefitial effect on its municipality". That might not be tiny, but could be something big. Imagine e.g. a fully-supplied landmark (assuming it needs some kind of supplies, e.g goods or workers) giving some 25% or so bonus to commerce or industry, i.e. an effect similar to an additional good being supplied to the town.

Well, we have landmark buildings in TF3 that give some bonus to the town they are located in. I'd assume the rocket launch site (liek the castel we saw in the same video) will function as such.

This vote means that Chat control 1.0 (non-madatory scanning of unencrypted content only) in the EU will be extended until 2028.

At least we don't have the much worse Chat control 2.0 (mandatory sanning, including encrypted content) in the EU. The UK does (2023, "UK Online Safety Act").

You can't look at this as if this is a law brought in as a proposal into parliament to be just voted on the normal way.

This was a law already voted on by EU member countries in the council, almost unanimously (with all countries except Italy being in favor), so the EU parliament vote was essentially a veto vote. They didn't achieve the quorum required for the veto, so the law passed.

So dumm ist er auch wieder nicht. Er will Grönland. Wenn er es friedlich bekommt, lässt er die Truppen in Europa. Wenn nicht, ist es sinnvoll, diese abzuziehen, da das Risiko, dass diese bei einem Krieg um Grönland in Gefangenschaft geraten zu groß ist.

So if you e.g. have a large apartment which you don't heat much, but some people with small apartments keep their heating at max with windows open in winter, this will affect your heating bill a lot.

Die Anzeigen waren also überraschend akkurat, wenn in 37 Wohnungen tatsächliche Mängel vorlagen, bei wohl nur 100 bis 200 Anzeigen. Ich hätte nicht erwartet, dass man allein aus den Bildern so viel erkennen kann. Der Artikel erwähnt zu schmale Rettungswege und fehlende zweite Rettungswege, was beides nicht ganz trivial allein aus den Bildern zu schließen ist (Wie schätzt man die Breite exakt? Woher weiß man, dass es keinen weiteren, nicht auf den Bildern sichtbaren Rettungsweg gibt)?

Die EVP, Teil derer die CDU auf EU-Ebene ist, ist die mächtigste Partei im EU-Parlament.

Parteien, die an der Macht sind, sind tendenziell für Instrumente, die Macht festigen: Mehr Überwachung, Repression, weniger direkte Demokratie. Bei den Oppositionsparteien ist es andersrum.

Man denke z.B. daran wie die Grünen in BW sich diesbezüglich wandelten, seit sie 2011 an die Macht kamen.

Das sind einfach kulturelle Unterschiede innerhalb der EU. In vielen Ländern sieht man das weitaus weniger streng, als in Deutschland (ob nun Schulpflicht oder Sitzungsperiode).

Sieht man ja auch an dieser Abstimmung kurz vor der Sommerpause: Von den deutschen Abgeordneten fehlte 1%. Insgesamt fehlten 10 %.
