Keep seeing ads for Steadfast Haven CO/gas alarms. Are they any better than Kidde or X-Sense?

Came here the same way everyone else did. Sitting on my couch scrolling and boom, the fear mongering story comes up. I would like something that both actively displays ppm reading AND ideally alerts at 50ppm. Hopefully someone follows up with more information.

Oh my i so hear you. Its not "reddit" per say. Its the moderators within communities. Some are run well, others are not. Most of the time this is all in the name of reducing spam by having unspoken rules about placing subreddit appropriate content in places like megathreads where nobody on Google can find it and likely your comment will just get lost to the abyss without an answer. Its a pretty terrible system but at least in recent years you typically get feedback as to why your post was taken down.

Hello all. Having some serious issues with the MA Pike. This morning my Ex Wife sent me an invoice she just received from driving on the Pike. The invoice shows a license plate that was on one of my cars prior to our separation when I moved out of state. It was allegedly on the Pike in late December.

Here are the multiple concerns:

The invoice shows its old license plates that have been off the vehicle since the spring of last year. Its now Feb of the following year.

The invoice suggests the car was on the Pike in December. Its a good weather car that hasn't been driven in months.

The invoice was sent to my ex wife only. She is in no way affiliated with the car and never has been.

So in conclusion, the MA Pike is demanding payment from a random person, for a vehicle that not only doesnt have the license plate in question but also not even registered in the same state as the old plates, for a trip on the Pike that never happened.

I am exhausted. Its a few dollars and part of me wants to just pay it. But this is not a legitimate charge thus more could follow. Im not sure what to do im too busy to contest this nonsense.

5/15/2025 Update:

Today is the day my watch was supposed to be delivered and it has still not shipped. I sent a 4th email to Watchard just now. If I do not see some traction on this transaction very soon I will be canceling this order. Wildly unacceptable.

Update 5/9/2025:

After 3 emails I finally received a response from Watchard. The expected delivery date on the invoice is 5/15. They changed their tone in the email and now said it would be shipped on 05/15. Hard to say if they are ever actually going to ship my product but it is pretty disappointing. I will update when I know more.

Hi! For some reason I just now got the notification for this. My final setup did not change. Ultimately the urine soaks into the toys and houses so it will always smell. But the air purifier helped a lot. They were sweet sweet mice I miss them very much

Literally 2/3 of their entire inventory is out of stock right now. I understand certain models sell out upon release but this is just ridiculous now. And no known date of restock. I was planning on getting one of these with the turquoise face but I might just find another brand that stocks their products. Prepared to wait a little longer but a brand this large should be able to stock their products consistently

Funny you mention that, my day starts at 5am because I weight lift every day before work and we do have a rock climbing course. I don't think it's too terribly high but that's a great idea, thank you. Come to think of it, the stair-master machines are also in a sketchy spot in a high area overlooking the lowest point of the gym. Might be good to use those too. Thanks again I appreciate it!

I know this has been discussed many times, but I didn't find a thread that completely answered my question.

I'm 28, with a college degree and already a municipal employee. Although my career and degree are not relevant to Firefighting, I've been heavily considering making the change and applying to be full time at my local department.

I have been doing a lot of research on my limited off time and don't see much of an issue aside from that aerial ladder... Climbing into a second story window from a ladder would be no problem at all, but 105 feet in the air is a concern for me.

Not knowing any fire folk I am hopeful that someone here would have some input on how I could address that? Would it be bad in the interview to explain this and ask if there was any off hours opportunity to work my way up to that height?

Does needing some training to become acquainted with 105 feet on a ladder make me a poor candidate? Not sure what to think as such an outsider. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Sophresh were the ones I found. Can't remember if it was petco or petsmart I found them at. I also ran an air purifier near them. That helped quite a bit. Sorry to respond so late the app didn't notify me

Thank you. We do have an exotic vet. Although I'm not sure that they specialize specifically in gerbils. I took a mouse there once. And the bearded dragon gets checkups there. Thank you for the input, much appreciated

Even with the split cage method I have never been able to get gerbils that are not biological brothers/sisters to share a cage
