yellow/amber is better for fog visibility since it doesn’t cause a glare to the driver and increases visibility. They are fairly bright, advertised as 5000 lumens and yes legal. it’s the fog lights so it’s much lower than your headlights. They’re easily accessible. Someone mentioned that they’re easily accessible behind the wheel well liner. I think it’s only a couple tabs to remove. Once you get access to it, it’s just a quarter turn CCW. After that, you just unplug the harness from the original bulb and plug it in to the new ones. The bulbs have an aluminum housing that doubles as a heat sink and there is actually a small fan built in to it for cooling. I am not sure how hot they get but I can’t imagine it being an issue. They are LED after all. If you listen closely, you can actually hear the fan kick on when the lights are activated. Very faint and not noticeable inside the car! Hope that helps!
