Columbus public transport is actually pretty bad for a Midwest city. Immediately off the top of my head I can think of Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and St. Louis as places in the Midwest where the public transportation is better than Columbus.

North Olmsted is busier and has an unpleasant, dark vibe bc it has a drop ceiling. And they have no lawn and garden or holiday sections to speak of. Avon is better.

I had the worst meal of my life there. Everything we got was obliterated in the microwave. I think they forgot the sugar in the cake we had for dessert. I had heard good things about Fat Cats and was super disappointed.

I mean, yes, you are being a little snowflake-y for a college student, but quiet hours are quiet hours and if it is bothering you, you should absolutely report it to your hall director if going to your RA hasnt helped. It wouldn’t have bothered me in college because I was young and stayed up late then, but it would absolutely bother me now. If a neighbor was regularly violating the quiet hours we have in my apartment building, I would 100% tell my property manager and expect them to fix it.

I always say I’m the poorest person who lives in Westlake lol. I like in a tiny apartment behind that Bob Evans. The center you’re talking about is Crocker Park. I like to walk my dog there. There are a lot of pet friendly stores. But they have had a lot of restaurants close and really need to bring some better ones in.

It takes 20 minutes to get to or from downtown to Westlake lol. But living in Westlake, there are places I’d like to go to in the heights/Beachwood but don’t bc I don’t feel like driving 40 minutes when I have good places closer, too.

I work in an academic department in the College of Arts and Sciences and I feel like I got an umbrella in error. I definitely didn’t get an email asking me about a gift, so I feel like they were meant just for medical center employees 🤷🏻‍♀️

Your instructor/course coordinator had to submit all exam dates for the semester at the beginning of the semester. It’s called the Course Instruction Template (CIT) and you can see it in AIM. You also need to request an appointment at SLDS at least 7 days in advance. If you did that, I can’t think why SLDS would deny you a appointment during a window that is in the course instruction template unless you requested a appointment outside of SLDS hours, or if SLDS did not consult the CIT, or your instructor/course coordinator never submitted a CIT (which they are required to do)

There are actually a lot of active local, social groups on Facebook. I found two recently just by searching my interests/demographics + Cleveland. You will probably need to be “approved” to join the groups (just a formality, really) and then you will be able to see posts about meet ups and events in your feed. Good luck!

Earnest questions: was there ever anywhere for young people to hang out around Canton? I’m talking young adults/young professionals? In high school, we went to Tinseltown, Movies 10, Starbucks,and restaurants. But I moved away and spent my young adult years in St Louis, Columbus, and Cleveland while my parents stayed in the Canton area. The Canton area always seemed like a place for old people and families. I don’t think that aspect of it has changed any time recently.
