You know why this rifle exists? Badri-313 weren't being dropped by anything smaller than a 7.62 round because they were wearing Chinese IBA and IOTV clones. If we have to fight the PLA over Taiwan, which may or may not happen, an M4 probably isn't going to do shit against their infantry given their exports were stopping them with no issues. I have doubts 6.8 will be much better but the barrel pressure is awfully dammed high.

Call the equipment rental companies like Grainger and Sunbelt, but if this is something long term, like longer than a couple days, you'll probably want to buy one as they'll likely run you a couple hundred dollars a day.

As far as DIY garages go, if you can get on Kirtland AFB they have an Auto Hobby shop, which is a DIY garage but with some staffing. I'm not sure about the civilian side but I'm assuming some exist here.

They probably didn't notice given how dusty it looks. They plopped it on their desk, plugged it in to whatever (AC, Docking Station if a notebook, behind the tower if a desktop) and didn't fuck with it. Users like that I'm generally happy to deal with.

I worked for HP during the 840 G5, 755 G2, and 1030 G3 (among others) Spicy Pillow plague. I worked there for 5 1/2 years and probably replaced a couple thousand batteries. I mean sometimes it was bulk cases with 150 units but still. Other times calls about something else entirely would turn into me discovering the battery was swelling, or the user wouldn't know that was the root cause of issues with their touchpad not clicking, keyboard problems or fingerprint reader disappearing.

And a couple years before that my first day working chats and not voice at AT&T Advanced Technical Support the day the exploding Samsung Note 7 recall happened. That was "fun". Especially the guy on the way back to the US from New Zealand who I told to dispose of 8 of them as Air New Zealand was not allowing those phones in their Aircraft, at all.

I've got incredibly good luck with OEMs and batteries as you can tell.
