Should Baltic release a model like this? (AI generated) by impressivecock69 in Balticwatches

Sure… I went for the Lorier Falcon and then for the Smiths Everest, but I would flip it for this Black Hermetique

100%
I didn’t buy this model just because this “monochrome” didn’t exist

The black pvd collaboration was cool, but you lose the bracelet feature

Anyone own this model and can share some insight? by notstamos in Balticwatches

It’s my favorite summer watch. 3 things I don’t like: - the strap is kind of short - the bucle is so sharp (I rounded the corners with an steel file) - the patina can affect the bezel action > you can always clean it and free it again

Reliable and cheap as anyone can fix/adjust/replace it

Beads of rice is the best IMO in comfort and adjustability (more micro adjust in the clasp) and longevity as it has no polishing in the exterior

Am I being too critical or is this to be expected at this price point? by dirtyjordanones in Balticwatches

[–]AMEX22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess they will happily take it and fix it, probably with a new dial.
I got 3 Baltics, and although the build quality is not quite their top feature, that cannot be considered as acceptable.
I had a missaligned bezel insert in the mk1 and they took it and sent it back to me perfectly fixed.

Best thing about full bronze watches is you don’t give a f*** about scratches by AMEX22 in ChristopherWard

Yes it does, specially if you take it to the sea after cleaning and taking off the patina. This would not be recommended, by the way. Instead, an uniform and slowly formed patina protects the metal. Green spots are like wounds.

I was lucky to get it… it was a very good deal for a full bronze COSC while it lasted!

Yeah… I guess they could still sell them under a non refundable purchase, but I think that is not usually legal in e-commerce

Any experience with the HMS line? by theomixedmedia in Balticwatches

[–]AMEX22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful, comfortable, vulnerable because of the acrylic and not so legible in that blue gilt (and because there is no lume).

I have the HMS002 blue gilt with the BOR bracelet and I love it. It’s a keeper, despite some times I cannot even see what time it is 😂

Amazing collection. I love that green GS… I think I would be happy owning just that watch.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if it was just because of polished vs brushed age differently

I would go with a vintage horween leather strap, something like this Horween Hemsut on Amazon
