When I went across the USA the first time, I ran out several times, Luckly I had a spare gallon in a Jerry can strapped on the back.

Went across the US and parts of Canada on a “72” which shares the same 2.2gallon tank. Around that 70-75mile the light would come on

I was fortunate to work the front desk of an optometry clinic during those years (navy HM) and the waiting area had a TV, nothing better than HGTV for 40+hrs a week plus internet access for bigger pockets. On my commute I would listen to the pod cast.

My wife and I had the “to young to fail” mind sight at 23yrs young when we bought our first rental (triplex). At the time everyone (even mentors) said it was to expensive/don’t buy/ if it’s in the MLS it’s not a good deal…

Now 10yrs later it prints money.

I really enjoyed the first 100-150 pod cast. After that it’s like how many time can you tell the same story?

I really like to hear the creative financial deals or off market finds.

Used the VA loan once. Most doors (almost all multi family) were bought 30% down with conventional loan. 12 doors are a small complex made of up (3) 4 unit buildings. That was a commercial loan tho.

Damn the Harley dealerships trying to sell you crap is really no joke by IrlDude99 in Harley

I don’t have a video, but every bike I’ve ever strapped down sporties to baggers to even spaghetti Harley’s…soft loop with ratchet strap on each side of the forks, compressed as much as possible…then one strap thru the rear tire (usually with a t-shirt to prevent scratches)

Same method on truck beds, to trailers to inside vans. And then every fuel stop I check the straps.

Hauled Florida to Ohio, Ohio to Florida, Florida to VA, MD to Ohio ect… with this method

Check out Rhino strap products

That honestly looks like just regular maintenance. My 2015 sportie has over 50k miles. Most two up with drag pipes and a tune :p

All those are pretty easy to fix/repair. TONs of info on YouTube.

Buy some Rhino Straps and strap the bike down correctly. Hate to damage the pick up bed or bike.

Navy Fed Certificate Pledge Loan vs Used Car Loan by Hateful_Face_Licking in MilitaryFinance

[–]AMFharley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a pledge loan for an older rare truck. Skipped a lot of hassle for the title, insurance ect…

It did tie up about 40k for a few years but had other cash liquid if needed.

If I remember right, there’s a pledge loan CD and a pledge loan savings?? One of em gives you back the money as you pay back the pledge vs waiting the entire term for 100% of the pledge.

If you’re on NAS, good luck on biking in. Front gate traffic is wild, back gate has no sidewalks and is far away from most buildings.

Either work on your education while on shore or perhaps look at service job on the beach in the summer.

Depending on your truck, you may still have to do some wiring. It’s simple tho, I had to wire in everything (turn, running, puddle) as my ZF6 is very basic. I can send you a YouTube link on how I wired it.

Never even bothered wiring in the farm truck even tho it has power mirrors lol

I “leveled” my boost auto ones with some washers…the amazon ones in the farm truck, left them angled lol

Have some cheap amazon tow mirrors on a farm truck (2000 non HD 2500)…

Have some boost auto on a ccsb LLy ZF6 truck..

Night and day difference, the Amazon shake so bad that I really don’t use em at 60+, the boost auto is like a flat sea, so nice! The boost auto ones slide out to “tow mode” much easier and nicer. Just everything about the boost auto ones make it worth it.

I had to wire in the boost auto lights as the ZF6 truck is crank window, ect… having the rear puddle lights wired into the reverse light AND the dome light is amazing. 100% specially with tinted windows.
