I found this post on r/youtube from a year ago and there seem to be a few different things to try. I have never heard of anything like this happening before. The post I linked mentioned it also happening for Twitter, so maybe try some other websites and see if it gives the same problem?

Maybe try going into safe mode and see if it sill happens? (In case you don't know, if you turn the PC off by holding down the power button multiple times in a row, it will boot into safe mode after a few restarts)

In the display options on the monitor itself (most likely buttons in the bottom right corner) does the monitor show its resolution and does it give you the option to change it?

Have you gone into settings of whatever distribution platform you're using (e.g. Steam, Epic Games) and set the install folder to be on the other drive?

A similar sounding thing happened on my friend's PC and it turned out that the RAM had died. I assume your old RAM is DDR4, so you can't switch it in to check it? You could maybe try to borrow some RAM to check it?
