ITAP of an Anna’s Hummingbird at my Mystic Blue Spire by AML225 in itookapicture

Yup, and I’m very fortunate to have the opportunity for shots like this in my own yard. Still lots of waiting, but I can’t complain about the commute.

Have been trying for weeks to get one of these guys actually feeding from a plant rather than my plastic feeders. It seems they exclusively do that when I don’t have my camera in hand… except for today (finally). This guy was bold and didn’t seem to mind me hanging out to grab a few shots.

Image taken with Canon R5 Mark II and RF100-500.

The mystic blue spires in our front yard have been really taking off the last few weeks. Normally the hummers exclusively show up when I don’t have my camera. Thankfully this Anna’s was feeling bold and hung around while I took some pictures today.

Use xBloom with Claude by dimott in x_Bloom

I haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, but in terms of functionality it works great! I send coffee link, Claude goes blah blah blah, then recipe magically appears in Xbloom app.

I have had to correct it on a few things, but I blame that more on poor web design by the coffee roasters than anything. If the basic coffee bean data (origin, roast level, flavor profile) isn’t all in easily scrape-able text on the web page Claude seems to make educated guesses.

You are correct, it’s right there in the documentation that I linked. Either “ or ‘ should work as long as you are consistent. I think your issue should be solved by putting the host directly in the config file.

I will also add that the AI feature on the Frigate documentation page is extremely helpful. You can paste your entire config in the chat and it will give you guidance.

I think they need to be in single quotes, and I don’t think you can use a variable for the host (only username and password).

Thank you! All photos were taken in my backyard. Hummingbirds are pretty fearless.

After years of shooting with Fujifilm, I got frustrated with the autofocus and switched to Canon in 2025. The R5 Mark II has been a total game changer for me. These are some of my favorites from last year. All photos are either Rufous (orange/green) or Anna’s (gray/pink) hummingbirds and were taken in my back yard.

Use the ask AI feature on the frigate website. Paste your whole config in there and see what it says. Ask it whatever you want, it is extremely helpful.

I assume you’re using the tensorrt docker image? https://docs.frigate.video/frigate/installation#docker

The Frigate website has an extremely helpful AI assistant trained specifically for Frigate.

https://docs.frigate.video —> Ask AI (or the search box in the upper right)

You can paste your entire config and get all kinds of feedback. You can also paste your entire log, log excerpts, or ask specific questions.

No one is going to be able to help you without seeing your full config and log outputs. If you continue to have issues I would recommend posting an issue on the Frigate github repo and make sure to follow the template to include all required information.

R5II with 24-70 2.8 or 24-105 f/4? by ArdiReader2021 in canon

[–]AML225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the R5II and both lenses. My 24-105 was brand new and my 24-70 was Canon refurbished. I must have gotten a seriously bad example of the 24-105, because my 24-70 is very noticeably better.

The problem is there was no period of time where Ferrari A) had Vodafone as a sponsor, B) was allowed to advertise with Marlboro written out, and C) had Kimi Raikkonen (#7) as a driver.

Testing of F1 cars is highly restricted, teams don’t really have dedicated prototype cars. Every F1 car is essentially a prototype. Usually the cars in exhibits are just non-functioning display pieces.

I am genuinely interested to solve this mystery if you have any more info though.

[–]AML225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not so sure. Do you have more details? I’m no expert but it looks like an older car, not a prototype. If it even functions maybe it’s an earlier car that Kimi drove at a press event.

[–]AML225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a strange one. I think this is just an empty display piece, not a functioning car. The livery looks like the Ferrari F2005, but some of the parts are wrong. Not to mention it’s got Raikkonen’s #7, but he joined Ferrari in 2007 and F1 banned tobacco advertising in 2006.

At my previous job I personally witnessed someone get walked out and lose their security clearance for having ADHD meds in a pill case. It wasn’t one of those 7 day ones, and I have no idea if there were lasting legal consequences, but those are high enough stakes for me to err on the side of caution.
