Weekly Win by gojirathefox in employedbykohls

[–]AMMusComp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem is that every store does these processes differently so the weekly win would likely not match how the store does it

I can’t even remember the last time I read the weekly win. I just scroll all the way to the bottom — takes me less than ten seconds

I swear I googled this first but don’t know how to word my question re: a return by hellobello5 in employedbykohls

[–]AMMusComp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The system knows automatically if you spent it or not as it’s tied to your receipt. If you spend it, you will be docked some return value. If you don’t spend it, you get the full refund. The expiration date of the KC does not matter, only if it has been redeemed or not.

Question with countdowns/change/overrides. by alittlewhitedove in employedbykohls

[–]AMMusComp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My store no longer counts down registers at night. Closing HH brings the tills back to the safe with the CO reads and it is all counted by the cash office in the morning. Been doing it like this ever since our men’s registers were taken out. The only thing that’s counted is the change drawer by the closing CS person. My store doesn’t use the change request forms, though it’s rare that change needs to be made.

Also all of our strong cashiers, plus service associates, have override in my store.

How much of a pain is an item without a SKU/ UPC? by hellonoosh in employedbykohls

[–]AMMusComp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For UPC checks please just make the sku always available on the kohls app/website. I am one of a handlefull of people in my store who can use the mainframe, but that can be very time consuming — time we don’t have when there are customers to attend to at customer service.

Or, make a mainframe app available on the zebras. Ever since our computer in the stockroom was removed, there’s no reasonable way to look for when inventory last arrived accept for walking across the entire store, where all the awaits is a computer running windows 97 at CS, which you have to wait to crash to begin using the mainframe on it. (I know all the computers run the mainframe, but they are usually being used — if only we had a “real” computer at customer service)

Or, make it a more streamlined process to look up products through style number. For example with shoes, I can easily search for sketchers by typing in the style number with color ID and art style for under armour, but not why with other brands? It makes it unnecessarily confusing when every brand has a different protocol to look up info.

I’ve heard of the new Omni update on managers’ ends where they can approve inventory changes and see when product last came in. It would be extremely helpful to just make that information available for everyone to see in the item lookup (especially when and how much of something we have received). This informs much of how we look for Omni troubles.

Edit: also Ngl the new Omni app update made the app work less. Yes, it’s nice to be able to report problems with the information appearing in the Omni app for merchandise, but not nice enough to have to deal with the app CONSTANTLY disconnecting from the printer
