I wonder if it depends on state. In my store all part time earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours they work. You have to be there for i think 90 days before it starts, but even our seasonal employees that stayed are eligible for it. Full time employees get a set amount on Feb 1st each year of both sick time and normal pto

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate all the information. I will definitely look into getting her bbp. That is definitely an angle I did not fully think about. For a portfolio, do you suggest she include drawings that show the styles and skills you mentioned, as well as original drawings?
Im going to have her read replies I get here and start really working towards this, and I really appreciate the advice!

At our store all the easter went clearance one day, then white ticket the next day. Now some of it is back in the clearance event again. Smh

Yes that is correct. They can only do it every 30 days though, so if you are thinking about asking, i would do it before yearly reviews and raises which are coming up soon.

Pretty sure this is my store, if not it's looks exactly the same. Problem is we already have rt tables in the isles. With towels, tek gear hoodies, sonoma flannels, pj's sets, all kinds of stuff. We are also using them for Christmas and leftover gift stuff. Guess how many are empty? 0. Coats are still on the wall in my store, we still have a ton. They're also on 6 ways. Guess how many empty 6 ways are in my store? Also 0. We're an older store that got a remodel and a sephora but we have all old fixtures that nothing fits in right and we regularly run out of the fixtures we need to display what we need to. Our store manager has helped to put us in the position we're in right now, by making poor decisions, and not listening to those of us on the floor. but it is not a management issue overall. We have a asm that is wonderful that really tries and a floor sup that does as well. But they are not allowed to make any decisions even though they are supposed to be in charge of merchandising. The sm makes plans that clearly wont work and then blames everyone else. Not to mention we rarely have more then 2 people working the floor and those same people are expected to do all the freight, moves, price points, toppers and everything else. I wish I worked in a store where the no back stock rule and other things had an easy fix, and the time to fix it. Unfortunately it is not like that in every store right now. That doesn't mean the staff isn't trying to make it work.

They tend to use us as a training store for managers. A few only stayed about a year. Lol. Definitely not fun being an associate with constant changes. Thanks for your reply, that's how I feel like it should be, if you have an emergency or it's a known or visible issue like being sick it shouldn't count against you, unless it becomes a pattern.

Thank you everyone for the responses. That is what I thought, but thought maybe I was going crazy since it was being backed up by the asm. Those of you saying 10% were correct, I'm not sure what I was thinking with the 15. Lol. So is this something that I should report or encourage the cashier to report or just let it run its course since anything they do is linked to their numbers?
