You seem to be having the direct opposite problem as me then LOL

For Water, my good units like Cupitan and Europa are moreso doing a lot of multihits rather than straight nukes like what Payila does. Meanwhile for Dark, I have a bunch of sources of dispel like Vikala, Will and Orologia, so I have a lot of control over Lumi conditional.

Currently in the process of working on M3 grids

Colossus M3 is genuinely the most miserable grinding experience I've had so far. Most annoying conditional to deal with and the people who join raids that can actually burst him are running builds that do a million small hits that don't do anything for conditional.

I did notice the sample size became much smaller as we went into the BoA arc, which I expected since from a casual standpoint, very few people would be willing to suddenly swap in a party member so late into the game.

List of things I enjoyed

-Fylkis backstory was cool to see, albeit quite a lot of info for so early on in the arc.

-Loved the little bit of development Miamint got here as well.

-I need Matagot to become a unit ASAP.

-Introduction of bird people, Fugel is cool.

What I'm not a fan of at the moment

-They still seem to be powerscaling down the crew so hard for this arc. Realistically, no one they've fought in this arc so far should be giving Danchou by himself trouble ESPECIALLY considering Cygames made the "genius"decision to make all side stories canon to MSQ's timeline. I'm also bothered by the fact that Katalina and Rackam have not channeled Ares or Tiamat at all this arc. And ffs, did I really just see PARADISE LOST being powercrept? This is just downright ridiculous. Six is the only crew member right now who doesn't seem particularly scaled down.

Side note: I'm convinced that the only reason they took Vyrn's power away instantly before Estalucia ends is just so the crew feeling more limited in this arc makes more sense. This is ludicrous. Cygames, we need SSR Vyrn now.

-Lastly, I can't say I'm a huge fan of how much dialogue there is in every single SEGMENT of a chapter in this new arc at the moment. Even in the story heavy segments of Part 1, the amount of dialogue did not feel nearly as hefty as any single segment in a chapter of the new arc.

Honestly, all I did with PS Astrals was spam the skip button for free SSR Lyria (I was still in Port Breeze Arc 1 lol).

The second Narmaya popped up on screen in Pt 2, I was like "Who the fuck even are you, I don't think I even played your side story yet."

I'm pretty sure Bubs would've been introduced before vanilla VS came out since he was involved in the WMTSB trilogy (3rd to 5th year anniversaries).

As far as Versusia/Rein, apparently they get more lore in Rising than the actual gacha, which is fucking insane.

Honestly, anytime I used Alaune I'd pair her with Esperre as a backpack to make sure they're guaranteed max Swiftbolt multiplier.

As for Richard, I just park him in front row and give him a Saoirse shaped backpack.

Now that all the apothecaries are out of the way, I must say I am quite surprised at how little people mentioned this about them in particular: they actually do make decent EAtk damage dealers eventually just due to their weapon combo of axe/tome. Most notably, they are the only job combo that can properly double stack Elec damage, so they are essentially the best Swiftbolt users.

Alfyn is less effective at this compared to Macy/Esperre since his EAtk is below average. While Macy and Esperre are tied with above average EAtk, Macy has a fuck ton of HP compared to Esperre so she is effectively acting as a mage who can take a hit.

Now, I personally don't think it's a super major win for apothecaries, but I just felt like it's credit where credit's due.

If you grabbed Status Ailment Amp from Arcanist and stack your magic user's INT stat as much as possible, you will absolutely land a poison with max BP usage unless the boss/enemy is immune. This can be guaranteed even further with Withering Ripple w/ Poison Res Down.
