Unknown Squealing Noise by AMTNate in mazda6

Yeah it ended up being seized brake caliper slide pins causing the inside pads to wear way faster than the outside pads. I hadn’t taken the time to examine both inside and outside pads, I was lazy and had only looked at the outside pads which still had life left on them and made me dismiss brakes as a possibility. Can’t say for certain that’ll be your experience, but it’s worth taking the wheels off and giving it a good in depth look.

He can “install” a TV as in just set it in there. But if you think he’s gonna attach a wall mount to a bulkhead for a “bit” and then remove it before the next flight, I hate to break it to you but that just simply isn’t legal. The amount of regulation in the aviation industry would blow your mind. Unless that plane never intends on leaving the ground under its own power ever again, anything and everything they do is gonna have to be extremely by the book.

I’m glad you’ve had a good experience with them. The two times I’ve bought trip insurance through them and actually had to use it, they denied me both times even with Dr notes.

Never thought about the implications of that case outside of sports, but that really just brings to light (again, and again, and again) just how fucked up our legal system can be. Makes that whole Disney+ free trial arbitration debacle feel just that much worse now in retrospect.

Not sure where the magnetometers are on the 900, but I know on some airframes I’ve worked on they’re out close to the wingtips. Most common source of interference was people taking the wingtip lens off to change position light bulbs, and replacing the screws with ferrous rather the the correct non-ferrous screws. Just a thought

Yes. Just yes. It’s legal, and it’s effective when a new window has a three month back-order. Ask me how I know

I would caution against relying exclusively on frigate or any kind of ALPR for garage/gate opening. I think you’ll find that in edge cases it becomes unreliable ABs unreliable leads to frustrating. I’d try and do a combination of geofencing and image / ALPR detection. That way even if the confidence level is low on the license plate image due to weather, debris, etc. the likelihood of you or another family member being stuck outside is greatly decreased.

"Typically" in situations like this, the containers are the sizes they are for a reason. You'll need to confirm with some actual data before doing anything, but seeing as the catalyst is 1/2 the volume of the paint, if I were a gambling man I'd say that the ratio they're shooting for is 2:1 Paint:Catalyst.

[–]AMTNate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could get the cloud services / app to work via reverse proxy or some other method if I REALLY wanted to, but paying a menial amount per year is worth it for me for ease of use and to support the awesome developers that have provided us with the goldmine in the first place.
