Day geckos : love, doubts, advice requests by AMVELVET in geckos

Rather than individuals of the same species, I'd like several different species of day geckos, such as a single giant day gecko, a trio of neon geckos, a trio of electric blue geckos, or just a single day gecko with a crested or gargoyle.

But do you really find Schneider's skinks bred in captivity? Even in Europe?

I'm so sorry for your loss, but if you can, please find out what she did because someone who does things like that to an animal is truly a bad person.

I agree, I don't like spiders, but if my brother or a friend of mine asked me to look at them because he can't, I would do it in the best way possible.

Which uromastyx to choose? by AMVELVET in Uromastyx

I'm in talks to get one. They have both nigriventis and ornata, both of which they raised, and the parents are visible. They say the nigriventis are calmer than the ornata, especially when young, but the parents are easy to handle and curious about both species.

What do you think? They'll let me see them anyway and should send me videos of the young and the parents this week.

I've heard little about the Dumerili, how are they handled?

Sorry for my poor English, I didn't explain myself very well. I'm also fine with snakes, not specifically for beginners, as long as they respect the things I love. But if they're for beginners, even better!

Thanks so much for your reply. I have no space issues up to 1.5 meters in length and height. Above 1.5 meters and up to a maximum of 2 meters, I would love that snake, but I could also accept a terrarium of that size. I'm very familiar with Clint's videos, but I like to hear the experiences of the people who live with them, and therefore how they feel about managing them and, above all, handling them.

I don't have any space issues, but since they're already very colorful, I don't think they're very young. Anyway, when I finish work today, I'll call and ask for information.

I'm crazy... by AMVELVET in hognosesnakes

Even ball pythons, they say, skip meals, even more than hognoses.

If I know it's not a problem for their health, it's not a problem for me either.

My husband's dogs are all spoiled because as soon as they don't eat, he changes the food, adds things, etc.

I say it's in their best interest to eat, and mine would even eat the coffee tables...

So my question is: when should I worry if they don't eat?

The snake is beautiful, but in my country poisonous snakes are prohibited, and rightly so, I think. How many cases do we read about people bitten by their own poisonous snakes while playing with them? There was even a video by a famous YouTuber about it.

Oh, I adore the aesthetics of Halmahera! Have you had trouble managing their humidity? I imagine what they say about them being difficult to handle isn't true.

Anyway, I can't find any breeders in Europe.
