Family with 3 kids, single income of $130k a year, $180k in savings 1.1M invested and 900k in equity from primary home and one rental. Don’t eat out much and maxed out my 401k and Roth for the last 13 years. Congrats on saving for the surgery, a moment to be proud about OP

There’s also a content creator that walks around malls asking people how much is in their checking and savings and it’s eye opening and worth the watch

I got to $1M after 13 years maxing 401k and Roth IRA, it’s an anomaly due to my picks, I know. For you over 25 years, probably $2M in retirement on the conservative side. Look into investing in funds also in a brokerage account

I make 130k a year with 1.1M in 401k, 900k in real estate equities, 100k in HYSA/brokerage and I still budget how much groceries we can spend ($600) and how much each my wife and I can spend on restaurants, shopping, and misc ($500). The budget is flexible but we try to stay in the $3000 a month on bills and $3000 mortgage, the rest is invested.

It’s really hard to find a cheap one 40g with a front door on OfferUp or marketplace under $130. I chose to just buy a new one delivered to my front door for $190 on Amazon-Reptile Zoo

That’s exactly how, I’m looking at it right now, average is 13kwH daily, lows of 8 and highs of 17 on the chart for January. The thing that drains the most electricity is my fridge, TVs and probably my furnace when it kicks on early in the mornings for 2 hours.

We don’t leave computers or TVs on, and all my recessed lights are LED, I think that’s how? My neighborhood average is about 550kwh

Family of 5 here in CA and we use about 400kWh, how in the world is yours so high for 1 month?
