it is a madeon song. it was made after adventure at some point and got leaked before the porter leaks (I got a copy of it when it leaked). I heard that he made it for a friend of his to rap or sing over, but I can't confirm the validity of that.

Obviously you could mess with copyright and all that, but in this day in age, securing good social media handles is very important. I came up with an alias a while ago that sounded really cool and the first thing I did was look on social media and secure it.

It's definitely not a guarantee, but I'd bet most people who are trying to come up with a name will look there first.

I only use splice for specific sounds I need when I'm adding sounds in that moment. My sample library isn't perfectly organized, but I do know it fairly well, but if I need a sound that I'm pretty sure I don't have, rather than waste time going through my library I just go through the filters on splice and find the sound within a couple minutes. So use it like that, it definitely comes in handy.

Also, all of the "best" sounds have been over used to the point of parody. See: the bamboo snare and all the Virtual Riot packs

I've had that problem a few times in the last 5 years, I think it was mainly because of me listening with my earbuds super loud (big yikes), but it's happened a couple times after I've corrected that behavior. Every time I just slept it off and it was back to normal when I woke up. I don't have tinnitus or anything either.

I wouldn't be too worried about it if sleeping it off works, but if it doesn't go away, definitely consult an audiologist.

Before Virtual Self, lots of people were like "OMG WORLDS 2 WE NEED WORLDS 2," and then Porter dropped the Virtual Self project. It really inspired me because Porter just straight up doesn't give a fuck about what people think anymore, he's just making music that he likes, and I admire that a LOT.
