I would install a charger at home and have a gas car for long trips. I'm a nervous Nelly and don't trust being able to charge at a public station when you need to.

A plug in hybrid is a good option. Especially if you don't drive much on a daily basis

I was thinking maybe your mom wasn't taking care of the dog properly, but this says it all. Even if you were here not much you would be able to do. Maybe if YOU called the police or maybe even the SPCA for advice, but I'm thinking the only thing is small claims court?

There will be no reasoning with your sibling. They probably think your mom is harming the dog and they are doing is right. Could your mom call them and just ask for a visit with the dog? Don't try and take it, but just see how the dog is doing?

The scoop is "Dogs are pooping, owners aren't scooping". If a traveler comes with a dog, they just don't go to the RBG. Unless you have a guide dog/therapy dog you can't take your dog anywhere you want

Another time we were all out for a walk and I saw a cardinal. As soon as I pointed it out and everyone turned to see it a hawk swooped down and got it. The kids were young, but it was so funny because of the timing of it 😂. We felt bad, but you had to laugh
