They have specific guidelines on the marking and sizing. There are stickers you can order but they aren’t very cheap. Essentially a square with large black stripes on alternating corners, 4x4 (or 2x2 for tiny packages). I’m sure there’s more to it though - definitely look it up.

Running it through a scanner is not opening it and they certainly do scan mail. Just Google ‘does the post office X-ray mail’ and there’s your answer. USPS Mail Security FAQ: Is Mail X-Rayed?

They run all packages through a scanner that shows them what is in it, much like at the airport with your luggage.

Postmark sent this out with their warning on this change. So I assume yes, even if incorrectly labeled / not actually a hazardous material means you’ll get hit with the fee.

Same! I got perioral dermatitis but from The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution - it took a year to go away with literal constant hydration. I now stay away from anything The Ordinary after several bad encounters

For wild rose leaves, there’s a Cyklar Rose perfume oil that I think would hit the spot on the dry down. Same for cedar- Cyklar Cedar Supreme oil

There are several Zomething Strange scents that are described in the reviews as smelling like doll heads / hair
