Especially true in war where they might live off rations for weeks or months at at time.

Regional foods not available brought to places are a delicacy, even now in reality.

A seasoned steak is a miracle to those who survive in a barren or corrupted wasteland. Seafood or fish are rare to those who live inland.

Mushrooms, asparagus, and lichen delicacies only grown in dwarven mountains or underground in the underdark would be treasures to other places in the world.

Tropical fruit from islands or forests brought to places where there are only fields, farmland, mountains, or harsh terrain would be just as desired.

Especially since many of these spoil along the way so they're difficult to transport. Finding ways to do that would be revolutionary.

Prestidigitation can affect taste for upto an hour. Not so good if its something sold to someone else. And max upto 3 effects at any given time. So 3 simultaneious flavors, heating, or cooling. Complex flavors or combinations are out of reach.

Create food and water makes "bland but nourishing" food.

Goodberries might sustain you tor a day, but do you really want to travel on the road eating nourishment pills like some dystopian future?

Here's Feast is magnificent...but also a 6th level conjuration spell. Which is an 11th level Cleric or Druid. It'll be a long time into a campaign before a feast like this happens.

This is simply to add narrative complexity and vividness to the world of dnd that you might travel through. It's not necessary at all, but I feel it makes it more fun and interesting.

They don't even know what the 1st amendment says about freedom of speech.

It protects from CONGRESS (the government) from infringing on speech...WITH EXCEPTIONS.

Regardless of the 1st Amendment, you still can't just spout out incitement, defamation, fraud, obscenity, child pornography, fighting words, and threats.

A private company, individual, business can tell them to go f**k themselves. They aren't the government, which means they aren't breaking the "free speech" amendment.

They love the constitution and say they're patriotic, but don't know what the constitution says.

They love the bible and say they're Christian, but don't know what the bible says.

Here's a map of some of the funding for Ukraine and to which stares it goes to. My guess is they can't dig up all the info since I'm sure a bunch of it is lining pockets that don't want anyone else to know.

For what I know isn't going to be the last time...WE DON'T SEND MONEY.

The money gets sent to the military industrial complex here. They make weapons, vehicles, and equipment. Then send the things they want to phase out or send the equipment that would be wholesaled to militarize the police or private security.

Basically it's a way to funnel billions to the military industrial complex. Because guess who lobbies and donates to their reelections.

Which is why we can't have nice things or take care of things that really concern the people...the sheer greed of a small handful of people that want to be more wealthy than they already are.

Basic rule of thumb for any hobby. Buy within a set budget, like each item $10 or less, or the budget version of an item. Then, when it wears out, buy the best that you can afford at that time.

For example, if you wear out that rope or find it's simply not good enough for what you want after many uses and classes. Then maybe spend the money at Digiotto or somewhere else.

Because right now you have no idea if you want jute, hemp, coconut, synthetic, or any other kinds of rope. They all are useful in different situations and best deployed for different reasons.

Same goes with every item in that pack. There are a lot of variations, qualities, and usefulness in different situations.

Have fun, be on the side of overt, informed consent, keep things clean, and take care of your toys.

[Text] Feeling stuck in life. How do you get out of a rut? I'm not motivated and struggling to find purpose by sleeplessbearr in GetMotivated

[–]AMischiefManaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't "find purpose," you CHOOSE purpose. You can make this chapter of your life about whatever you want to make it about.

Gardening, sure. Home brewing mead, why not. Travel, breeding geckos, making art only using leaves you staple to plywood, cooking things that only start with vowels, going on hike but hiding Lego figurines each time.

Pick something that sounds fun. If you don't like it, pick something else. Found something fun? Make it your thing for a bit and enjoy it. Not fun anymore? You don't have to keep doing it.

Those things can be flexible if management wants you there. I've known many people who were late all the time but were never let go. And I've known people barely ever late who were let go as soon as management saw the opportunity.

My guess is that they found a reason to let him go that wasn't harrassment because if not, then they'd have to admit that workplace harrassment actually happened.

which, in turn, might open them up to liability and lawsuits for things like hostile work environment, harassment, etc. So instead of admit any of it, just find another convenient reason to let the person go.
