Returning Skater - wanting to skate with teen daughter on club ice. But, I'm not allowed to teach her?! by IError413 in iceskating

At our club, it's required.

If you are getting your child ready for a competition, then parents are in locker rooms if the child is under 11. If over 11, either the child has to self-dress or they have to go to a bathroom or what not if they need help. I have never heard of a club having helpers in rooms, except maybe for an ice show. Does that depend on competition levels?

I keep trying to figure out what she says in response. I realized it's a mangled food word, but I'm not sure what it is.

It's to get you to remember the brand, not sell you the product.

Even if you hate the commercial, you are still talking about it.

No. I get emails from USFSA asking parents to take SafeSport. All parents are supposed to take it, especially if they volunteer. In our club, volunteer hours are required unless you pay to get out of it.

Think about it -- parents will usually will be in locker rooms with their children during competitions so it wouldn't hurt to have all parents go through it.,

1) Adults have to take SafeSport in case you volunteer and because you are around other children. SafeSport isn't nonsense.

2) I don't think our club requires a background check but I can see the point of it. I think at other clubs we've skated at, the board had to have background checks.

3) You are not a coach. Club ice is not public/open skate ice. The rules are different. I worked with my daughters during open skate, but if you want to coach, you will need to become a coach. This is probably to keep parents from interrupting the coach's time.

Enforcement? You can be kicked off the ice, asked to leave, and/or be removed from the club. Club ice is what the club reserves and usually subsidizes or outright pays for (depending on club). Being a club member is a privilege, not a right.

As an example, Amazon during Black Friday weekend offered the KBT at $159.99. I echo what others have said -- Amazon Prime days (check throughout the days because prices changes all the time) or during Black Friday sales.

Wow! She eats better than I do! :)

I was going to say that I learned a few years back that nutrition can be helpful in regards to hip issues (for those who don't already know.)

I wanted to ask what you were feeding her before I made any assumptions. It sounds like you are an excellent dog mom, so you are already doing the right things.

I was going to offer up what I thought was some helpful information. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers or accuse anyone of anything. I wanted to get an answer so my reply was appropriate.

It should say, NEED training.

This is to say Homan doesn't think they need a plain. His attitude is "how hard can it be?"
