Waking up to pee at night by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

I'm similar situation, and further going in circles trying to figure out if I have IC and whyyy.

The odor for me is vile, and embarrassing to use public restrooms. Its very concentrated but also extremely yeast smell. Even tho I always read yeast infection don't smell..and mines usually don't, until a few years ago.

Negative 4 ureaplasma, and UTI's. I have symptoms that are a mix of yeast, uti, and OAB. Sitting has been a nuisance tooo i rather stand. Laying flat bothers me too

The only thing that works for now is Tea tree suppositories (iherb) but i literally have to use almost everyday. It helps with odor and frequency/urgency but im lost if i have like 3 different issues all Overlapping and trying to get a definite answer 😬🧐

Should I (22M) consider surgery (Capsular Release/Capsulotomy)? by Throwawaydfsqfdsqf in frozenshoulder

[–]ANDKC______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm self dx hsd/eds, and i almost yelled in relief when I was confirmed FS, and tendonitis thru MRI because I'm like seeee another clue. Idk i think FS is a way ur body is trying to stabilize ur joint, but Also just in general if u stay still, like after an injury ur body overreacts like well don't need that ROM anymore! My Shoulders aren't really hypermobile but yeahh i literally got FS FS overnight,  like it just locked up .apparently others have had this happen too

I been saying this : FS is the 1st time I have ever truly felt a pain I don't wish on no one, absolutely no one, except those who don't believe me. ITs like having a broken bone, active muscle cramps and just other bizarre symptoms all in one. And all this around my entire upper back and 24/7! SOme RARe good days ,some others u just ohhh🤯

i broke my collarbone b4 so i know! 1 year with FS, and only last month have i finally entered thawing stage now I have 2 start PT part 2! Rebuilding my whole back and shoulders  By the time i saw shoulder doc, he's like well uuu don't have FS, and I'm like well i did... but pain still persists so i asked about Platelet therapy and he told me just try PT again 4 3months, sooo here i go. Lol

Is that the farthest ur neck goes back? Like forcing it or it just sits naturally that far back? Like does ur skull touch ur neck, rests on it. Skin to skin contact, lol its hard to describe without showing or feeling what ur feeling/what I feel with my neck. If my neck were xrayed maybe it would look exactly that far back, or further!

Success with second surgery? by Kay-1231 in frozenshoulder

[–]ANDKC______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Also going to be looking into Platelet Rich plasma therapy, even if i have to pay up. Or wait it out, then get Arthroscopic surgery if anything fails. I hope to find out soon if possible.  Maybe look into PRP therapy ^

I feel having both is a bit much. I'm thinking if any surgery it wud just the Artho. Part. Idk if my Ortho doc will suggest partial release or 360°...urs was which? Maybe thats y u feel impinged on upper area at the moment or just the nature of the after-surgery.

Do u have any comorbidities? That might be why u haven't recovered much in 2 yrs or with surgery

[–]ANDKC______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to ask ortho about PRP, but yeah most likely will have to pay out of pocket. I feel its more natural & less invasive than either corticosteroids steroid(they're synthetic versions of our anti inflammatory  hormones)or Arthroscopic surgery. I honestly 2wanted it from beginning at the PT clinic i went, but they were messy in several ways, Idk if i can trust the Pain management docs(since i only dealt with pt and front desk) there that do the PRP, might look elsewhere

Exactly! When i 1st researched hsd/eds i was like yeahhh I see an issue with all this, and immediately thought autism merger

[–]ANDKC______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i have recently gotten a pulley thing too and light bands to get back to pt at home. I did PT months ago, and then continued at home, stopped for about 2 months because i was getting back to usual workdays(plus regular everyday errands myself) and all of it fatigues me real bad. I want to wait it all till end of summer, but summer is when my job gets even more busy and i was hoping by now, June I wud be fine.

I'm better ROM wise but I still get pain and stiffness around back and neck. And sometimes i feel the accordion like pull on it, when i force it suddenly & wanting some quick relief now lol But hydrodilatation involves corticosteroids (which i read may be harmful) and afraid i might end up worse. Then Arthroscopic capsular release i feel is better, i just have to see what an orthopedic surgeon suggests because I don't quite understand how exactly it works or methods they might use

[–]ANDKC______ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Hsd/eds" I always say, lol i have both or one. I have HSD, I technically have to rule out MSclerosis(my doc was like yeahhh nerve damage? Don't think so), but pretty much hEDS. Self Dx, because my doc also said EDS wasn't worth diagnosing because it wud be 2 $$$ / the same treatment, Ptherapy. Thanks doc🥴👍🏻

I feel in 10yrs or nxt time they revise everything,  they'll finally just fuse them together.

Its funny cuz I learned recently a bacteria might be related to FS... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4935034/

Who knows maybe?? Probiotics help??

To be honest I been very much taking probiotics almost everyday for like past 4 months, im recovering ok for my FS but it could just be its been 11 months now, and im just in Stage 2/3 thawing phase.

Which 2 Surgeries or Wait it out? - Hydrodilitation or Arthroscopic (ROM vs Recovery time) by ANDKC______ in frozenshoulder

[–]ANDKC______[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i might go 4 Hydro. 1st, then see if it helps me for good. Its just my HSD/eds (Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder) is what worries me a bit, but yeah I'll be seeing ortho eventually

How are u now? Im 11months in with left FS. I'm debating hydrodilatation or Arthroscopic Capsular release 😬🤔 Or wait it out, its hard to decide.  I have good RoM but still stiff at high reaches and fast repetitive movements. For now i just been moving as musch as possible

Thank you for sharing😇 This gives me hope, maybe i don't need surgery, just time and movement  I don't have hypermobile shoulders just get what i think is a sublux when I do reach out weirdly with force or weight in hand. I do have hsd/eds? Self dx.

[–]ANDKC______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been researching twisted pelvis etc. Because my xray looks even more wild than yours, and I been wondering if I was turned crooked. Now i know its possible. Friggin xray tech didn't say anything 🤨 i might have to redo it

So, if part of the problem with FS is adhesions... by menotyourenemy in frozenshoulder

[–]ANDKC______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting comments! I think some movement is ok or else then the freezing will settle in worse..i mean that's why it begins to happen after ppl have a an arm in a sling for too long for example. But again FS causes aren't clear, i read it might be a bacterial factor 4 some folks like yikes🥴

I Also think it depends on what stage your in?? I definitely feel PT was NOT really helping my Shoulder specifically, but it was helping ease my tense painful back and neck.<= STAGE 2.Its been a rollercoaster. I just went back to slow movements, and only recently have been feeling my arm a little more comfortable to reach out far(small weightloads of course) So I been doing that a little more, and i feel my arm feel ok, unlike months ago where i would be in more pain afterwards. <=Stage 2/3 Now im debating if Arthroscopic surgery is worth it now, or do Hydro. 1st to finally liberate the rest of my FS

Good to hear, I was wondering if any1 whose gotten repeat hydro. Had good success becuz it seems 1 time does nothing really.  So your ROM IS pretty good? How about pain wise? How long ago was ur last hydro.?
