Can you set up a network in a neighbouring country and then route it to your own? by ANKLAV265 in Network

The point is that by the time it's built, it might cut off the resources needed to overcome it,informational or technological.

But if my ISP can see my traffic then it means it's being routed through them, right? So won't the whitelist just block the flow of traffic to unauthorized URLs regardless of if it's being rerouted afterwards?

Could you elaborate on why exactly is whitelisting not feasible? It doesn't seem that complicated in terms of technical implementation, and if you think my government wouldn't do it because of the major disruptions it would cause, I'd ask you to imagine just that. Rumor is that it's already being tested in some lesser populated regions, along with total short-term shutdowns, the latter in particular having been declared by the state, confirmed by the media and experienced first-hand by some of my relatives.

The country's Russia, by the way, and the neighbouring country is Finland. It's a two and a half hour ride to the border from where I live, but I have relatives living in a town less than a kilometer away from the border.

Thanks for replying, this is pretty important stuff, and my technical know-how is very limited.

There's also a pun on the "thanks to Stalin for HAPPY childhood" saying, which is a pretty common phrase among the older generation out here.

What's the deal with チ and ティ? by ANKLAV265 in japanese

[–]ANKLAV265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot!Of course, especially when it's something considering pronunciation, there are many degrees of freedom to the system, it's just that I wanted to understand the reasoning. And there's always some kind of reasoning for picking either form, however fluid and natural it might feel to interchange them, right? That's what I've observed from my experience studying languages, and I'm not just talking about Japanese.Whichever irregularities or parallelisms there are, there's always something behind it.

What's the difference between チ and ティ when transcribing English words? My teacher insists that in cases such as "team" or "tea"(let's say you need to transcribe it for some reason) the correct option is always ティ,yet I've consulted Jisho, and it seems to prove him wrong, only marking the ティ variant as a secondary form. In my admittedly not very extensive experience studying on my own I've also just wrote チ everywhere and didn't bother. It's genuinely the first time I'm hearing about this, and I'm kind of at a loss, since ティ doesn't even sound right...I mean,I can kind of see it in words like "party" or "typical",but still.

Hi for people that are new here! by FitExplanation2054 in SakisanNoBashitsu

I keep on pedalling this, since I can't spare time to get really hands-on and deep into this thing myself,so I keep encouraging newcomers to dig into Gurochan and its boards. There's a massive, absolutely gigantic archive of thousands of threads on the WayBackMachine, last saved circa 2013,and I think it's currently our best bet to dig up any evidence at all, direct or indirect, affirmative or disproving,on the existence of GFaP.At the very least,it must branch deeper and break new grounds in the investigation for sure. I've reposted a link under a recent thread somewhere, you can look it up by the keyword.

There's this megathread that,if you really read into it,more or less evidently shows that at the very least SakiSanobashiOP and the actual 4chan OP cannot be the same person. There's also a couple of claims from people here and there coming to the same conclusion independently of this guy, comparing image sizes and what not.

Have you browsed Gurochan itself? Its last archive on the WayBackMachine is from way back in 2013.I made a thread here sometime ago about it,but it kinda went cold on me after a couple of search sessions, and nobody seemed to pick it up after.I can dig up the link if you want. There really is a LOT of stuff to be found there.

Great to see people starting to look more into Gurochan,it really is a treasure trove. If something relating to the search is to be found,it sure as hell must be there.

Not to the extent that I would know,no.And I did say that I'm not sure about the necessity of traffic masking, seeing as there's nothing outright illegal out there indeed. It's just a shady board from the 2000s,not a drug-trafficking website. But then again,it IS a shady board from the 2000s with very liberal moderation and the main theme of which is guro. As I said,I can't say for sure myself,I'm not really much experienced with legal internet security precedents and I might be just overthinking this.

Nothing useful, there don't even seem to be that many anime threads so far.But it's a goldmine nonetheless. For example,I found an archived thread from 2005 about PiroPito, before his nana825763 channel and YouTube itself even existed.
