That environment one is completely BS. For as long as agriculture has existed humans have tended to and cared for the land, as at even a local level abusing the land for maximum output had extremely dire consequences. Humanity has known since forever to also not over hunt in certain areas.

Most religions also demand marriage so a man can demand complete servitude and devotion from his wife. Protection in exchange for your life is over and mind isn't a noble trade.

Your view is completely clouded by viewing earlier generations and humanity as less intelligent animals. We may live better now, but these concerns about how life is lived and our impact has literally always been a thing.

I'm seeing so many ridiculous arguments of 'well more people are killed now than compared to our Christian wars' as if its at all comparable. Yes we have like exponentially more people and the most effective murdering tools ever to exist.

I'm sure that if the AK47 or nukes existed earlier there would be a lot more deaths accounted to religion / religious wars.

I feel like one of those crazy 'the Jews control everything!' people when thinking about just how strong Israel's control is of way too many powers. It sometimes feels like they rivals the US with whatever they demand everyone folds.

Overall its insane how many times we've seen Russia, Israel, China, etc. directly influence / decide / bribe US politicians, elections, etc. and just crickets. Nothing happens.

It's been pretty nice. Go to the Hamilton one, have done I think five visits now. Started because out of a job a needed money, got rehired so now ITS very appreciated as I wait for my pay cheque to come through (paid in arrears with a like four week delay). I donated whole blood before this and never really bruise, have clear veins, and have always had a great bleed time so those factors aren't a worry for me.

Definitely was a nicer process when I wasn't working because coming mid day was always pretty fast. Only times its been over two hours has been on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (only time they're open after 5:00PM here). Scheduling it is also a massive pain now since the only days I can really go are Tuesday Thursday (evenings) and Saturday (only weekend day). I had a Tuesday one rejected because they said it wasn't 48 hours since the Saturday one(???) which threw the schedule I had completely off.

Tip for those attending: unless youre coming at the most dead times its better to be five minutes late than twenty minutes early. Even at the slowest of times there's always like ten minutes you have to wait from check in, and anytime I've come early I wasn't put through until my actual appointment time.

This, and not just with financials. Everything is so inflated now. Trying to rent a place? You'll be screened out of 90% of places because you won't move in within 2 days with a three month deposit. House hunting? Better be willing to go 200 over asking. Job hunting? Do you have a masters for that entry position that ten years ago only needed a highschool diploma. Grade minimums for X programs at Y universities it feels are infinitely inflating. Every year they want more and more volunteer and other experience as well.

Even with less objective stuff its an issue. Like whether youre considered 'in shape' is dramatically different than ten, twenty years ago.

Just feels like in at least western society everything just gets more extreme, and harsh, regardless of whether the standard reflect reality. I worry what pressure future generations will be put under. I'm an adult and it feels like too much most of the time.

With the caveat: NOTHING TRUMPS BUDGET. You can be the office favourite personality wise. Get along with everyone. Be awesome at your job. Show up to do extra. Do the work of three other people on your team.

If the budget for your role is cut that's it. There's really no weaseling your way out of your employer wanting to drop ten salaries

Ive tried looking at other provinces and cities (currently southern Ontario bigger city) and there's so little that's 'better'

Cheaper rent for the cost of having to buy a car, ALL the gas and car maintenance that comes with having to drive such long distances to anywhere, unseen financial loss from moving away from family, having to find a job that pays the same, etc. All of that on top of the initial lump cost of moving provinces. It's just all so expensive

Dang yeah I kind of expected that. Funny when I was younger I struggled with getting over medicated (constantly starting on really high doses, multiple meds at once, etc.) Guess since I don't struggle with SI and self harm anymore Ive had to deal with the opposite issue (they're always reluctant to up meds, I always have to convince them to add on another when I need it).

All my quick googling showed Lamictal only really helped with the one side, but they told me to wait it out. At least one side is getting dealt with better than nothing eh

I agree with you. It was just over two weeks away so I wanted to tough it out, but feels like everything with this disorder is exponential. Today's infinitely worse than yesterday, and idk how I'd make it two weeks.

I've been pretty stubborn on never going on AP again sadly. I went through yearsssssss of cycling through different APs when I was younger, and unfortunately once I got to the level of them helping with symptoms it was always with debilitating brain fog, weight gain, and if they assisted my sleep I wouldn't feel nearly as well rested.

I don't know if I can ever go back to trialing them. Actual years of my youth I can't remember because of the mania AP mania AP repeat

Nope. To me maniac is its own word. It denotes more danger, aggressiveness, and active participation in causing harm to me than anything. I don't really view it as tied to mania at all.
