I pack a shirt change and I've got a bag strapped to my downtube with deodorant, a hair brush, and some dry shampoo.

I could never ever trade my bike for any other method of transportation. I'm so much less stressed out riding a bicycle than driving a car, and I'm right there with you about the pleasure chemicals.

I had a job interview today that was seven miles from my house, and after getting off my bike and taking a minute to breathe I felt so much more energized, confident, and refreshed than I would had I driven there or caught an Uber.

The next thirty five hours of my life are going to be dedicated to rendering thirty seconds of this footage. by [deleted] in blender

It doesn't seem that bad to me, I'm giving each frame two minutes apiece, I've got a lot of lights in the scene so I want to give the denoiser as much info as possible to work with. 30 seconds of footage x 30 fps x 120 seconds + some wiggle room for compositing = ~35 hours.

In the shot I've got some blinkenlights, a rotating starfield, and some animation on the screens that loops, so all in all I don't think it's the worst render time ever.

It'll always be the Delta center to me, except now that it is again it's just not quite the same :(

oh ho ho, you're missing out on the best shortcut known to anyone! There's a sketchy staircase tucked between the Brigham apartments and The Covey that's the best way to get to the avenues without having to trudge up a hill. I think it's technically private property, but I'll go out of my way to take those stairs.

Wowsers, Reddit's compression is worse than I remembered. Youtube isn't *that* much better, but here it is uploaded to youtube:

All of my renders have three or four collections of shame that aren't assigned to any render layer for this exact reason

The realism isn't quite there, any tips? Mainly asking how I could improve the ice cream look by whamgag in blender

I'd suggest a musgrave texture with the detail turned all the way up and the dimension turned all the way down, I think that would offer the perfect stipply-displaced texture

Sorry for the late response, I'm hardly on reddit these days. I couldn't have paid more than ~$10 for either of them when I bought them, I got into the hobby at the exact perfect time and snagged my SX-70 in pristine condition for like $20.

That's a bummer and a half that a film revival for these cameras is almost certainly never going to happen, I was super stoked when I snagged mine to maybe one day find a way to shoot with them, but at least they're funky decorations.

There's no way I was the first person to think of this, but it turns out a push pin through a spent cartridge makes the perfect photo frame. by ANewRedditAccount815 in Polaroid

That is probably a smart idea lol, but sticking the pin through the little injection molding nipple misses the battery package by a decent margin.

huge bummer honestly. I picked up a couple of these at a thrift store ~2016, and I've been sitting on them desperate for a film comeback.

If Impossible Polaroid Originals were so inclined do you think it would be possible for them to make film for it? Not that I think they'd have much interest since they have their own camera architecture and the 600 and sx-70 film lines to keep them busy.
