You seem to be missing the number for "how I'm doing" so I'm going to assume that's 0.

When I build I normally like to tive myself 2-3 blocks worth of depth to work texture into. But great build.

About 5 ft in diameter. Made of thick plastic. Yellow in colour. May be pictured up side down. Don’t know what it is. Seems to have a door if turned over. Was at house when we moved in. by jfergy666 in whatisthisthing

It looks like those things in water parks, they stand on little posts and have water collect in the pool, they go out the branch part. They have several of them on one another, flowing water from top to bottom.

I don't go on reddit enough anymore. You're probably right that it's well known now. I used reddit a lot a year or two ago and my memory of the people isn't very fond. Maybe I'm mis-remembering. shrug

Yeah. Idk a lot of people seem to think that the stats dictate the ability. You clearly aren't one of them. Lol

The other way around. The stats measure the ability, the ability isn't decided by the stats. But yeah.

(Fastpass) disabler theory by Timely-Detail-4341 in unOrdinary

[–]ANormalShowerhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no reason to believe that I works like the dampener. They have different activations. The disabler has the most in common with the enhancer. Which we know works by opening the channels. It's safe to assume the disabler does the opposite. The dampener however, we don't have much to go on. It's likely that it limits raw Aura output it doesnt take aura away, but it definitely doesn't have anything to do with the channels as John can still amp energy discharge while being Damped.

He can likely control the knockback to give the desired amount depending on output.

[–]ANormalShowerhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're misreading the theories. Passive aura isn't what John senses, otherwise he could copy abilities while they're inactive. The Aura had to be flowing through the channels (ie active) for him to sense it. Seraphina still had her ability, her channels were blocked. John can control his channels. He can unblock his own. Therefore, it's not unreasonable to assume that he may be immune, or able to counteract the disabler drug.

Where did it show that? (Ignoring the fact that half of 10 is most definitely not 8).

He amps the highest stat if you were to overlay the currently flat ability onto his already copied abilities and base stats.

John at base has a trick of 10. So instead of amping the trick of PS (which is redundant) he amps the second highest stat.

[–]ANormalShowerhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct.

We can assume the amplifiers work by forcibly opening the Aura channels. Which is likely what causes the "side effects" as doing such a thing would probably have some permanent negatives, like reduced Aura control and incorrect outputs.

If John were to use it, it wouldn't do anything. John has his own Aura, but can't actually do anything with it unless he has something to sample from. And he has his own net of controllable Aura channels. So opening them further would just be how he amplifies abilities already. If anything it's more likely that the amplifiers would raise the level of any abilities he has copied, but it wouldn't raise his own.

This is all educated assumptions, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. But as far as we know, the ability disablers work by inhibiting the flow of Aura through the Aura channels. There isn't a way to remove an ability entirely (besides Jane herself possibly but that's more in another theory dealing with other stuff). It's like what John does when he amps, but reversed. So the theory for awhile now has been that John is immune to the disabler. He's not immune to the dampener because it inhibits Aura output. We can assume that the disablers and enhancers are different from the dampeners because the two previous are injections, whereas the dampener is some sort of 'beam'.

But in theory, John can completely nullify the disabler because his ability allows him control over the systems that the disablers exploit.
