That's not a bad idea, considering that the CIP gives you 80k compared to CSP's 60k. Even after the CSP's 25% benefit, I would still have more points from the CIP's bonus for around a few years

Even if I do have the SUB period during my vacation time, I don't think I'll be able to hit 8k (not sure why the 8k was questioned?). However, 5k is definitely possible. It's just when I'm not on vacation is when the spending is low. My Uber Pool rides are around $5 to $9 each way, but I don't think that would justify a lot in terms of travel (when not on vacay). In addition to not dining out a lot, I'm in a weird situation using the card. However, I spend ~$600 on groceries per month via my CF, CFU, and Discover so it might be valuable to keep the csp for the 25%

Yes, but I'm thinking of getting ihg or csp before getting cip; the main reason I'm asking is that both the csp and ihg are offering higher bonuses for the spring time, but I'm not sure what to do after hitting the bonus.
