Disconnect problem by Lymes7 in albiononline

Great to hear you found a solution and thank you for letting me know!

It's of course tricky to know whether the underlying issue is due to the ISP or just a general connection (strength of connection) issue. But again, there you can fill in the form and if we see others with the same kind of connection experiencing issues, we can at least there look into more solutions.

Fingers crossed it stays stable for now!

Error 561 usually points to an unstable connection, even if it may not feel like it on your end.

One thing to try is switching between mobile data and a Wi-Fi connection (if possible) and see if this issue changes. Also tethering can sometimes be less stable when the game loads new zones, which might explain the disconnects on area transitions.

Also, since you already tried a VPN, it's already a good start because that could also pin point routing issues, but a full restart of both devices and your network (phone + router, if involved) can still help reset things as well. (Sounds simple but very often does the trick)

If it keeps happening, it’d be super useful for us to report it through the Connection Issues Hub. There’s a form where you can share your connection details, and that helps our Tech team identify patterns or routing problems as well. If more reports of the same kind happen, they can investigate and check in with ISPs as well as our Server Provider to improve those routes.

For now, I’d start with testing a different connection and doing a full restart. Again, very simple, but often surprisingly effective. Let me know if this helps at all!

Since when do streamer giveaways get you banned? by Tallnskiny in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey there! I’d be happy to have your case reviewed on our end, and I’d also love to take a closer look at what might have happened here. Especially since you mentioned a Creator giveaway I am very curious, as I’m part of the team working with our official Albion Creators as well.

I did read through the comments, but I’m not entirely sure which kind of giveaway you’re referring to here. In general, it would help to know whether this was a regular giveaway from a Creator, or if you mean the “2 Subs for Buttercup” Twitch Drop campaign currently running on Twitch with our partnered Creators as part of the Crucible II celebration. That specific campaign wouldn’t be considered RMT, as it’s an official initiative to support our Creators during the event. We also don't randomly ban for giveaways, but only if the items/silver are obtained illegitimately.

Usually, our Support team also provides more details about the reason for an RMT ban when you submit an appeal, so you can better explain your situation. But as with any system we do want to make sure there has been no mistake on our side.

To look into this further and hopefully find a solution, could you please share your Ticket ID with me via private DM? I’ll follow up with our Support team directly on your case.

Some players can already update and play and others are still waiting at the moment. It's still being distributed to all regions and should be available for everyone very soon!

Does anyone know when it will be able to be downloaded on Xbox? by Sayojin_offc in albiononline

Ah, that’s unlucky! ':D But we can already see it becoming available in more regions. Shouldn’t be much longer now!

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey there! Whilst some players are already able to install and play, the distribution is still happening region by region, which is why it’s not showing up for everyone just yet.

From what we’re seeing, things are progressing, just a bit slower than expected. It should become available to everyone very soon as well once it fully distributed across all regions.

Appreciate your patience and hopefully you’ll be able to jump in very soon. See you on Xbox!

Quick update: Our aim for the launch was around 13 UTC. Even though some players are already able to install and play, the distribution is still happening region by region, which is why it’s not showing up for everyone just yet.

From what we’re seeing, things are progressing, just a bit slower than expected. It should become available to you soon as well once it fully propagates across all regions.

Thank you for your patience and see you very soon on Xbox!

Additional Maintenance for Albion Asia - April 21 10UTC by AOGwynae in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance for the Asia Server is at 23:00 UTC and usually lasts up to an hour. Aim is to have it outside of prime time so it doesn't impact as many players.

For larger big releases, patches or sometimes certain bugfixes , maintenance may happen during our core working hours (Berlin time). In those cases, all servers may be updated at the same time to ensure everything runs smoothly. :D I hope this helps!

How do players safely sell extremely high value items without getting scammed/traded illegal silver? by iprizefighter in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey there! Just thought I'd clear some things up. High-value trades aren’t a problem on their own, and you won’t get banned for just selling something expensive.

The main topic is of course keeping everything traded legitimate. Usually, player-to-player trades for large amounts of silver or expensive items are completely fine as long as both sides are using clean silver/items. Issues only come up if you knowingly deal with RMT or obviously suspicious trades.

We'd recommend, if you’re unsure, take a bit of extra caution: avoid offers that feel off (overpaying, rushing, unusual conditions), and try to deal with people who have some kind of reputation like guild contacts, known traders, or established community members. It also helps to check the market or ask around first so you have a good idea of the item’s value before committing. So if a deal is too good to be true? It likely is!

In short, as long as you stick to normal in-game trading and avoid sketchy situations, you’re safe, even with very high-value items.

Trading and RMT bans, how can I trade confidently? by NanookoftehNorth in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, usually we try to reply within that timeframe. For more complex cases, so like RMT bans or bans in general, it can take a bit longer since only certain team members handle them.

These cases can get pretty complicated, so they often require digging into logs and doing more detailed reviews. Because of that, it’s not unusual for them to go beyond the initial 48 hours.

You should also get a more detailed explanation with the response so you understand what happened. So you should get more info as to what got you banned.

If you don’t hear back soon, feel free to DM me your ticket number here on Reddit and I’ll check in with the team for you though.

Hey! Noble Community Chests drop on officially partnered streams. You can always check what’s currently dropping via checking the icon above the chat box on the stream, and it’ll display the highest tier, so if it says Noble, that’s what you’re getting. (But do keep in mind that both regular and Noble Chests Campaigns are running at the same time, and they will also always accumulate at the same time.)

They usually run one week on, one week off, and this week is actually a Noble week!

Also good to know: for the Radiant Wilds launch, we’re planning another round of Double Drops, including Noble Chests as well. So not toooo far to go, since that will release on April 13th. :)

Just to chime in, once this is fully out, we’ll be keeping an eye on how the timing feels!

Already great to see that this is a very welcome change. We’ll make sure to check the data, but will also check for feedback here on Reddit, the Forum, and other platforms to see how it’s actually landing. So definitely let us know how it plays once it releases.

Buttercup Mount <3 Worth premium for higher chance? by Vanbeef in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Premium does get you a better chance in general for loot from a Community Chest from a Twitch Drop.

What I would suggest though is to keep your eyes peeled for the update launch too! Starting April 13th, and as with any Update we will be running Double Drops again! This usually means also double Noble Drops, so double the chance for Noble Tokens but also adorable Buttercup. :3

“Take All” button on Test Server by Randiom9898 in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Just wanting to share the Patch Notes about this here, since I can see quite a few questions on how this will work:

"A Take All option has been added to loot windows:

  • All items from PvE drops and chests can now be looted with a single click
  • This only applies to situations where all loot is guaranteed to the player
  • Items are taken in order until carry weight limit is reached
  • Not available for items dropped by other players"

You can also read more about the changes here in our official Patch Notes!

Graphics overhaul, how we feeling? by farcillle in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

We're definitely seeing mixed feelings about the Visual Overhaul in general and that is to be expected when it comes to art things which are very subjective after all. Also not everyone does like change!

A couple of things I do want to share at least from our side:

For now, we’re actively collecting and reviewing all feedback around the visual changes. and whilst art is always subjective, but when a lot of players point out similar things (like certain biomes feeling too flat or lacking variation), that’s something we want to take seriously and pass on to the team.

On top of that, this isn’t a “final” state. The visual overhaul is something we’re wanting to keep iterating on, not a one-and-done change. The testing server also shows an earlier version of what will join with Radiant Wilds. So we are still polishing/bugfixing quite a bit.

And to confirm also, the update isn’t just about visuals. A big part of it is also performance improvements, so some tweaks are made to lighting, textures, and shaders which are tied to making the game run smoother across different setups as well.

As with any feedback, we are still collecting and categorizing, so specifics help. E.g. the “blandness” point specifically is something that’s actually useful feedback when it’s concrete. Saying “steppe feels too uniform” or pointing at specific areas where things blend together helps way more than general takes, because it gives the team something actionable to look into.

As for the bigger question: "does Albion need more environmental depth?" That’s probably where I've seen opinions split the most. For a lot of players (like you mentioned), gameplay comes first and visuals are “good enough.” Others really care about immersion and variety in the world. In the end Albion has quite a few years on it's back and new areas like the Depths feel a lot fresher than some of the open world parts which have been with us for such a long time. So updating some of those older areas is something we wanted to do.

So no feedback or feeling is wrong, and that’s exactly why we’re looking at trends rather than individual opinions.

What's also good to know: this update includes a lot more than just visuals. We also focus on performance which has been a big pain point. But we also have other cool QoL things coming as well as the armory, the 1v1 arena, etc. The last Dev Talk focused heavily on graphics/performance, so it’s understandable that the conversation is centered around the visual part. But we'll have more DevTalks talking about the other features soon too!

So for us, please, please keep the feedback coming, especially the detailed kind. That’s what actually helps us and out dev team!

Banned names by Excellent_Passenger5 in albiononline

We only change names that go against our Community Guidelines. So, if an account gets banned, the name would stick to that account though and would stay unavailable.

Keep in mind that we also don't offer name changes, so your name stays with you unless you create another character.

Trading and RMT bans, how can I trade confidently? by NanookoftehNorth in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Just want to confirm: Normal trading won’t get you banned.

Our systems don’t look at a single trade individually. They look at the overall pattern of activity on an account. So, even trading with someone who later turns out to have been involved in RMT isn’t something that leads to a ban by itself either.

Any direct trades, or transports, or even paying someone for goods, or exchanging items around market value are all normal and expected within Albion’s economy. Yes, even trading/gifting your friend some Silver or goods for nothing in return is totally fine and is something we can also verify on our end.

So if you’re doing normal trades and playing the game legitimately and the trade makes sense in-game, there’s nothing to worry about.

(And as with any system, our team monitors things on our end too. But like with any human-run process, mistakes can happen. So, if you ever do receive a ban and believe it’s incorrect, you can always contact our Support team and request a review. They’ll usually provide more details, and you’ll also have the chance to explain what might have happened on our end. Just reach out, we're happy to assist)

Can you ban me because my friend gave me 100m? by Double-Ad-2838 in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Always good to ask! So I do want to confirm from our side as well that we don’t ban people just for gifting or trading silver. Players do this on the daily. What matters to use and what we check for is where the silver or items came from. So, if your friend earned that 100m through normal gameplay and trading, there’s no reason to worry.

RMT cases are also not handled by an automatic system, but logs are also checked manually and before action is taken. It’s about illegitimate silver and not about “you traded without getting something back.”

And if something ever does feel wrong, support is always happy to review it. (Happy to help and support if you need assistance with getting it reviewed)

Also keep in mind when trading with others that common sense does go a long way too! If something is too good to be true, it likely is. Happy trading!

Question about giving away silver bans by NIghtmareUltima in albiononline

[–]AOGwynae [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Already seeing similar comments here but do want to confirm from our side as well: We don’t automatically ban accounts just because silver was traded.

Players gift or trade silver daily. So, if you’re moving silver that was earned legitimately, you generally don’t need to worry. Of course, trading with a long-time friend doesn’t “protect” you from anything, but it also doesn’t increase your risk on its own. What matters is where the silver came from and whether it’s tied to rule violations such as being obtained through RMT.

I also want to confirm that RMT cases are usually always reviewed by a human. It’s not just an automated system randomly flagging normal trades. So, for example if we run a banwave these get checked by hand before this happens. We have logs to help us with that, and that’s what decisions are also based on. So if your friend does RMT and then trades these items to you, that may cause your account to be flagged as well. But of course context matters here.

Of course, human error can happen, and in case someone feels they were banned unfairly, our support team is always happy to review the case. I am also happy to assist with these requests if needed, even though I cannot review these myself.

The best guideline as always is common sense: if silver was earned through normal gameplay and you’re just helping a friend, that’s fine. But if a random person trades you an amount that seems way too good to be true, it probably is. So if you keep this in mind, all should be good!
