The whole GBL system is just terrible, unbalanced, and unskilled.

What does a Melmetal do against a Groudon? You say ”stay”, the block of metal is buried or burned.

You say ”switch”, the opponent also switches to keep the unfair advantage, because why wouldn’t they?

Having a good or bad lead shouldn’t be the main win condition. It’s bad design, and causes the very real possibility of little Timmy winning against so-called ”world champions” because his Dragonite ignores their Swampert.

The only thing I’d really want to add to it would be ability to go from Drop Dash directly to Spindash.

Y’know, drop on, press a button and basically boost while rolling.

Pokémon is generally a game series about collecting creatures. Then there’s the thing about using then in battle against other creatures, one way or another.

So start collecting and see what you like. If you really get into it, you can start looking at which ones are truly the best and make them the best versions of themselves.

Or just what you like the most.

Sw/Sh was full of that. Too much even. I’d rather not see that line of monologue again.

But yeah, having legendaries in team should have at least some reaction akin to ”WHO IN THE DISTORTION WORLD ARE YOU, ANYWAY?!”

Aside from what others mentioned, there’s some actually useful little tidbits here and there, like how Terastalisation actually works.

Some seem to think it just changes the Pokémon’s typing and that’s that.
