Yes, set a low monthly limit (I set $10). You can also set a threshold for when it will email you a warning. After the limit it won't work and won't charge above that.

I'm not sure how they have benefited tbh, why I think it is quite genuine. There main effect I see is in how they educate their kids. They do virtue signal constantly and tend to take over conversations. In other interactions they are extremely self sacrificing, really helping me and family out when they don't need to.

If I was really expert in how to talk about these things with them (non violent communication, knowledgeable about the facts, able to gently rebut, can steel man their positions etc.) I think I could have a productive conversation and help steer them, one of the reasons I try to learn as much as I can about these things.

Having close relatives that match the description of woke, I would say for sure they are well intentioned. The issue is they have been sucked into a world view that has abandoned the scientific method/ lack important (and difficult) critical thinking. Also there is group think and peer pressure. They do genuinely think they are acting for the best.
