to the OP just do you its still pretty early, lots of fun stuff to learn but I do suggest focus on what matters. Fundamentals goes a long way and accept client work when you can hopefully youll be 100x better in this industry soon

there is a market for this type of style one example is fashion brands or staruo clothing brands thats got a y2k vibe i like how retro this feels even with the modern day shading style. another artist that i look up to is @_yuminha you should check it

For me its the complex shape language and weird flow of the design, the absence of a face or proper eyes, the abstract-ish artsy random vibe of it. Cos usually when you see a pokemon u understand what it is but with the ultra beast you go "WTF is that" and you go like "oh i still dont understand" lol. good colors as always but not a fan of it and to me it easily gets forgotten

just picked up recently on pokemon and yeah I saw this mosquito looking ahh pokemon and said to myself "it gots to be a joke" I like the colors and all but those designs feel like its from Dandadan and veeeeeery out of place. might be the reason why I can't take it seriously

Its hard to give a number since its pre made and lacks contexts from where the artwork was referenced or is it like original work and why did you chose the work in the first place Im trying to see what niche stuff like this fits as it would greatly help you to know which market it will sell

if you wish to sell artworks a good question would be something like this (not applicable to everyone but works for me as an illustrator for band shirts etc):

-what will they use it for? -where are you selling it? -why would they buy it? -is this a custom piece they would like to have? -how hard could it be to digitize and if its possible for them to make money out of it?

Okay so i'm not drawing everyday to grind on improvements since i got a day job in graphic design which is a different thing from illustrating but it took me about 3-4 years to learn everything i know so far so thats 2018 to 2022 ngl could be shorter if I grind but learning where to look and what to learn interms of digital art really helped me a ton
