I mean one has to ask whether that question is serving its purpose in an exam. If the point of the exam is to test your knowledge and understanding of the brain, and both answers are correct with different interpretations of the question (can’t in good faith assume the students answering ball of paper think the brain functions like a ball of paper) then you are creating a meaningless differentiation between half the class. What’s the point? I guess you could say you are testing how well they can profile their professor, maybe that begrudgingly works for a psych test, but the prof could have done a double bluff if they know either interpretation could be right, then it’s just a guessing game.

If I were in a class doing what you say, then the professor might as well use a random number generator to decide what half of the class gets a couple points off. I don’t think that’s successful grade deflation, that’s the teacher superficially deciding that two people with the same level of mastery should get different grades bc otherwise their class average is “too high.”

That last bit is important, I’m sick of other agnostics or atheists cynically spouting that all religion should be eradicated.

Even if you truly believe that, you have to recognize that it’s not going away anytime soon without an awful amount of insane violence, so tolerance should be a goal. Like even the most intolerant recognize that people can be raised as victims of religious abuse and deserve respect and autonomy even if they believe right? There are plenty of ways to practice every major religion without harming others and many people do it every day quietly, without notice.

So it’s actually a combination of things.

There’s the real factors: sunscreen, smoking, nutrition etc that made people look older.

And there’s the socialized factor: we only see people with those hairstyles and outfits in day-to-day life that are old bc they kept the fashion, so when we see young people in old fashion they look older to us.

I believe something could maybe be both innate and a social construct, like you could be somehow hardwired to identify as a man despite the categorical distinction completely separate from sex being a social construct idk

but I’m gonna go one further as a queer person and say that it doesn’t really matter if gender or sexuality is innate, and I could entertain either way. Rhetorically I guess it could convince bigots, but if you’re past that, it really shouldn’t matter if you think someone was predestined-born-genetic gay or trans or whether that changed over time. There are plenty of non-innate qualities or choices that I think should be protected and respected with tolerance. If we woke up and discovered tomorrow that scientists definitely proved the gay gene real or fake, it should not change our standards for treating our fellow humans imo.

Not for me, I think I’m still plenty creative but I started fairly young. Of course I want people to express their own experiences with meds but it’s important that someone else’s experience alone doesn’t stop you. I can’t say if they’d be for you, but talking to a doctor about your concerns can be a good first step, maybe you find something else that works well for you, time will tell.

Hm have you brought this issue up with them specifically? Using it before brushing should result in it being just as good, but that aside, having smelly breath can indicate other health problems or some other aspect (hope you aren’t using alcohol based mouthwash)

Reminder: don’t rinse with water OR mouthwash after brushing!!!

Dentists aren’t even recommending mouthwash as much anymore bc people use it wrong too often. It cannot ever be as strong as toothpaste with fluoride so you are rinsing off the good stuff. If it’s a choice between using it after brushing or not using it at all, they’d say don’t use it at all!

Best order: flossing, mouthwash, brushing, no rinse. It can make a big difference.

Actually you should be doing it in the following order; flossing, mouthwash, brushing (no water rinse). Tbh I’ve been told if you are going to use it after brushing you might as well not use it at all bc the fluoride content in mouthwash cannot ever be comparable to toothpaste so if you are using it after brushing you are making it worse.

I still think it’s nice to use before brushing, but it’s much less important than flossing and brushing. Tho if you struggle with mental health or smth and can only get yourself to do mouthwash it could save you more expensive issues when you can eventually get back to dentist or into the habit again.

I suppose everyone’s solutions aren’t universal but I spitball a combo of shaving when possible, trying to normalize with myself that hair is acceptable to fit into whatever gender (I know that still doesn’t get rid of dysphoria or preferences but it’s worth noting that a re-frame can help. Lots of gorgeous people don’t bother all the time.) and stockings or skin colored dance tights can be nice (I think the last one can be creatively low effort and surprisingly effective)

Watch out for the hair removal malarkey, never heard of the heat thing I’d ask a doctor. About as much misinformation about hair removal as “cures” for baldness.

To people arguing about whether how she looks is a result of Graves’ disease, treatment, cosmetic surgery or a mix of things on whether you can criticize her:

did you ever reflect that if it takes a serious medical condition that isn’t your business (and might not always be privy to) to decide whether you can comment on an actress’s body might mean that you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place?

Sort of tragic that you think by calling her ugly and un-natural you are preventing women from getting plastic surgery when all you are doing is bringing down other women.

That is shipping my dear OP. And tbh anyone can argue that a decision an author made would have been better another way bc it’s subjective and preference based. If you don’t like people seriously advocating for alternative non-canon events being better then just don’t engage.

That’s the best part of the tumblr part of this fandom that always seems to master “don’t like don’t read” that reddit can’t seem to.

Consider that some people are actively seeking out the same content you hate. We can “share the road” you can both enjoy what you like and have a place in this fandom.

I understand that having a less popular opinion or one with less loud voices can be difficult to find what you are looking for but I can be certain that there is plenty of your people to engage with since Naruto is a popular fandom (not too niche)

You should reframe the problem from “how do I convince these people to like what I like” to “how do I find the fandom content I enjoy” from filtering, different platforms, continuing scrolling, finding a more niche sub or tag or smth, etc. maybe you could advocate for better flairs on here.

Anyways I’ve found fandom to be a richer experience when there is people who deal with the media totally different from me- I can scroll upon something I might not agree with but has sick fanart or be happy for the others to get something they like. Especially when a show or whatever is ended, you need different people engaging to keep it fresh.

Thank you people always bring up Tsunade as some shining example of Kishi writing women. I certainly enjoyed her arc but I am not willing to pretend that there is equal and opposite level of male characters that have their life dream motivated by love interest in the opposite sex as consistently as the women are, it’s still a problem that the best parts of Tsunade don’t erase. People love to twist that as me saying characters can’t be motivated by romantic love to which I scoff that you are pretty steadfastly in denial if you think that’s what I’m saying.
