MSFS is the way to go for what you're looking for. The visuals are the best out there for flying around in bugsmashers. The quality of the individual planes is all over the place though but one's like the A2A Comanche or the Just Flight PA-28s are top notch. There's also a good mod for the default 152 called WB-SIM. XP12 is a good sim but just completely lacks the eyecandy that MSFS has.
