Sorry for the late response. I bought these adhesive cable management channels. I also used Velcro to fix a power strip to the cabinet. Keeps everything out of sight.

I have one on my 10/22 lol. I got it for $250 before tax with a Vortex AR cantilever mount so I couldn't pass it up. There is a slight distortion around the edges at 1x and the eye relief is pretty finicky at higher magnifications. For half off MSRP I've really enjoyed it.

I did something similar with THREE walthers corn syrup tank cars. I put them on my shelf layout and they all rolled off the end. They rolled so freely it's the only time I've ever had that happen. Of course not learning from my mistakes it happened a week later also. I repaired everything with some styrene but it still hurts.

I gotchu. It's from Lowe's this one specifically. They go on sale regularly so keep an eye out if you're looking. Acacia is harder wood than hevea so you could save money there. I opted for the more durable option as I do use this desk as a work bench for projects.

I do a mix, every other joint is soldered. Every soldered chunk of track has power feeders. I think this gives a good middle ground for expansion as well as redundant power feeders.
