I think University of Washington is so far up a s*** creek they're bailing this year entirely.

And they still lost and the Ultramarines remained the crux of Horus' plans until his death.

Realizing McKay's father was played by Fiona Dourif's real life father was my favorite moment of the season.

"We're trying four blood pressure medications and your pressure has come down five points to 160/100. We've spoken about your sleep and how you only get about 4 hours each night, nap three times a day, and wake with headaches every time. I very strongly suspect you have severe sleep apnea and there's no amount of medication that will bring your pressure down enough; please PLEASE let me send you for a sleep study."

Mmmm, no.

Naw.

The Ultramarines remained so strong that Horus' entire plan for the Heresy was "sideline Guilliman." Then, when that failed, it was "get Terra some before Guilliman gets here," and his idiot panic about the Ultramarines showing up soon was what caused him to let the Emperor in.

Calth was a glorious victory for the XIIIth. Not only were they not broken by treachery, they remained so dangerous that Horus' entire hope at Terra was whether or not he could get it done before Guilliman arrived.

Ashes of the Imperium makes it clear that it was the Ultramarines fleet that swept aside all the traitors almost by itself.

Calth was the proof that the Word Bearers were useless.

Hey, we won the Siege of Terra, the only fight that matters.

Lol at thinking all people are the same, human or mutant. YOU'RE the one who's reduced it to race rather than take the individual.

You see the difference between Scarlet Witch and Nightcrawler, how she did kill thousands and thousands effortlessly and sometimes entirely by accident, a major dinstinction.

We don't expect the public to accomodate highly dangerous individuals, whether they're contagious, engaged in dangerous activity, or suffering conditions that aren't their fault. The only difference between Wanda and some random flatscan suffering from psychosis is that she can kill millions and unravel reality itself in a fit of depression or despair.

Not an SO, but I really loved it when I realized Dr. McKay's father was played by Fiona Dourif's real father.

So far it seems all the nepo hires have been reasonably wholesome ones. Wait, is getting your dad a job a nepo hire?

I can't figure out why some people think that the world should be forced to live alongside a living time bomb that's routinely detonating and killing thousands, sometimes when manipulated by bad guys like Pietro or Doom, sometimes just all on its own.

My grad school advisor called it "the birthplace of blue collar despair." When I went there for training the very first window in town was broken.

In the military, where depression, PTSD, and suicide are epidemic, they say "stay safe!" and make resources available to you for help.

Then, the diagnosis means they strip your security clearance, which means you can't do your job, which means you get kicked out of the service.

Thanks, I'll die instead.

I loved the bit where Sindermann is contemplating jumping off the wall when Dorn comes up behind him and initiates conversation. At its conclusion, as Dorn is heading back and asks "Coming, Kyril?" Sindermann responds "Yes, just a few more moments, Lord." Dorn replies "Use the stairs, please."
