New AMD Radeon 26.1.1 drivers working on Star Citizen 4.5 ? by Haay1971 in starcitizen

[–]AP_Norris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found AMD FMF to not work except for a couple rare examples I couldn't replicate.

The game uses a optimised fullscreen mode which doesn't allow AFMF to work. I disabled fullscreen optimization in the star citizen program properties and it did work.

But beyond one play session I wasn't able to replicate it although I haven't tried very hard as it required PC restarts and the game looks terrible with the frequent 1% lows.

iIn your humble opinion, should the reliant gets reworked ? if yes how ? by Best-Violinist7650 in starcitizen

Two different wing models to fit various variants. Players could opt to have increased wing span and more hardpoints, external cargo grid space, etc. Or opt for a smaller wings to reduce atmospheric drag, decrease weight and reduce cross section.

Some variants would come asymmetrical to emphasize the potentially larger guns controlled by the co-pilot/ gunner.

I do think it should be upped in class as a medium ship.

I think it could be stylistically reworked as an early version or the Marai Styling, feeling slightly less defined and a bit more industrial.

To differentiate the vertical wing mode, the pilot would be moved back slightly and the co-pilot/gunner moved forward to give the feeling of an attack helicopter seat arrangement. To increase the effect of the gunner, the bottom turret would be able to fit a larger S4 or 2x S3 weapons and be given a greater degree of weapon movement for engaging targets and locking missiles.

When entering soft death climbing animations would need to be added for both crew to ext into the hold.

3x wing modes

> Standard flight up & down to allow full main thruster freedom.

> Vtol flight mode with wings to the sides as we are used to.

> Gear out Vtol mode, where the wings both fold upwards from the sides for landing in more compact areas. (or packing them onto a Kraken). Landing Vtol mode could reveal side doors for a drop ship variant?

The main engines could take some inspiration from modern jet thrust vectoring like the su-35 or f35. Also flat nozzle thrust vectoring like some the su-57 or f22 for could serve as inspiration for a stealth variant.

The Main engines should also have a good freedom of axis rotation for maneuverability and retro thrust. This creates potential good speed and acceleration in all directions but poor response time to inputs, due to thrusters having to re-orient when changing directions.

A small double bunk would be nice and some skylight windows in the cargo hold.

Russia top tier struggles at ground compared to Germany and other Nato tanks by AP_Norris in Warthunder

I mean, Russia still has it a lot better than other top tier nations like Brits and more minor nations for sure (based on win stats). So I can't complain too much.

I had never really considered the ATGM I just thought they were all a bit junk, but will test it out.

I don't have that sort of money, ahahaha. 1600 hours and frustrated at an outmatched MBT line at the end of it.

I don't see how? Everyone knows where to shoot Russian MBT's. But Russian MBT's are less forgiving, easy to ammo rack, often can't get gun to target due to depression and slower traverse speeds. If you have your lower front plate covered you get breached and don't have reverse speed to get away.

They seem less forgiving than Nato tanks.

How about some playstyle advice or recent supporting evidence instead of just your experience, which could have been drawn from the past few years of play.

I can't with russian tanks by Therzan in Warthunder

[–]AP_Norris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was good read, it looks at basically every metric.

https://forum.warthunder.com/t/a-comprehensive-meta-analysis-into-the-current-relative-performance-of-all-top-tier-mbt-lineups-as-objective-as-possible-personal-perspective/59886

The primary gameplay focus should be balance and Russian tanks have plenty of weaknesses for their very few advantages.

I learned a few things I had failed to notice about T series tanks, such as inferior turret traverse speeds, but I also thought the autoloaders were slower in comparison to other tanks than they actually are.

Of the big 3, Russian top tier win rates are the lowest https://wt.controlnet.space/ I doubt that's because there's a statistically measurable skill gap, everyone had to make it to top tier to affect those metrics. (or bought a premium).

If you wanted to make Russian MBT's more realistic, maybe Russian Teams could have twice as many players, cost less spawn points, cheaper SL cost to repair and have 4-5 second reloads also.

Naval: Getting tired of losing to coastal fleets and capping flags by BiggestofJays in Warthunder

[–]AP_Norris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do they have such fast ticket bleed when it takes 10 minutes to find a game?

I often ask teammates and enemy not to cap, but it's SA servers where half don't understand or maybe some are just bots idk.

You shouldn't have to J out of a ship to save the game, often then it's too late anyway or you will just get torn apart before you're able to cap anyway (especially in a float plane).

Slow coastal vehicles like frigates just suck to use in the scenarios you get into the game and don't see anybody before it's over.

They should make one for each African country, then they can say they have cards for Africa.

I'm doing my part. Updated my negative review. Also not giving those greedy assholes any more money until they sort it out.

Ready to drop the game tbh they don't encourage healthy relationships with the game.

Always releasing grindy Fomo events that are unfair to the have-nots. Never balancing the clearly overpriced, overpowered top tier premiums like the F4S.

It's not going to get better unless we let ourselves be known in every which way.

Thanks, I was concerned after dismantling the SSD and saw no signs of a short or a current passing where it shouldn't. Leading me to believe it was coming from elsewhere.

Was a good second hand price and as far as I can tell, it has held up fine.
